I saw an advertisement for a nerdy baking student group on campus. It had a picture of Daleks with chef's hats, and it said 'Eggs-Stir-Bake-Nate!'
 
Just got the last bit of my costume for comic con here in Chicago. (c2E2) Any other cosplayer nerds?

I'm also volunteering at the tabletop game booth, really looking forward to it.
 
I just put another notch in my nerd belt by finally learning to play M:TG after my brother got back into. Probably going to pick up a duel deck and a couple boosters soon... This may get in the way of my nightly TF2 though. We'll see how it goes.

Once upon a tine, my best birthday was held at an Anime Con! A buddy let me borrow his Alucard outfit from the series Helsing, and I left the Con with a Girlfriend!! :)

Fan Conventions are Awesome!!!

For the next Con I go to, I will cosplay as Snake Eyes ;)

Aargh, apparently some people got their Doctor Who Season 7 part 2 DVDs early. Why has nobody uploaded the last episode yet?!?! :mad::mad::mad:

Whoa...you mean the ones that haven't aired on TV yet?

Why was I not informed these were out there? People who have that shit and aren't sharing it give pirates a bad name!

If I don't find out what the deal with Clara is soon I'm going to lose it!
 
Well, there's only one episode left that hasn't aired on TV. They posted about it on the main Doctor Who facebook page. Still haven't been able to find it online, it really depends on which people it got shipped early to.

I'm not fucking around here. They need to start devling into the Clara issue. It's the most interesting story arc they've had sicne River being Amy's daughter. But they aren't furthing the plot of the Clara thing at all. It's like at the end of each epsiode the Doctor says, "Oh yeah let me wonder about that again fro 8 seconds"
 
To be fair, that's how they also dealt with the whole "rips in time" arc. They'd appear for major eps like the two parter with the Angels, then disappear for the most part until the finale. Which was lame to say the least.

Also, am I the only one who is happy the Ponds are gone and the show is now "Dr. Who" and not "Amy and Rory + That Guy Called Dr. Who"?
 
They pretty much only address the major story arcs in episodes that Moffat writes, and he only does the first one or two, the ones around the midseason break, and the finale.
 
Completely agree about wanting to find out what the deal is with Clara. I like her better than Amy, that's for sure :)
Saw the latest (aired) episode yesterday. I love it when the classic aliens return :)

No, you are not the only one. I was never a big fan of Rory and Amy, plus, is it just me, or did she seem to own the whole time travel thing better than the Dr.?

I think Clara will be the one destined to ask "Doctor who?" at Trenzalore, a question that he'll be required to answer honestly, as the prophecy goes.

As for how present-Clara can exist and who Dalek-Clara and Governess-Clara are, I have no idea. (A new Time Lady? The Rani using a Chameleon Arch?) But I think the Doctor has it figured out, judging by his cryptic smirks and responses in Crimson Horror.

I liked Amy and Rory just fine. As for Nightmare in Silver, it's my favorite Clara episode so far. The BBC needs to force Neil Gaiman to sign a contract requiring him to write a Doctor Who script at least once a year.

Into Darkness will be released in the US this weekend. I did see Iron Man 3 this week and was mostly disappointed.
