i used to have a bunch of live shows that used to be on the computer when i lived at home, and after i moved out i never backed them up and the computer crashed. it always pissed me off that i never backed them up. i know i had a few SW shows in there.

I don't think I have that many live shows. The Stabbing Westward ones, Metallica at Woodstock, RATM at Woodstock, and Tool at Coachella are the only ones that come to mind...

Sigh

well, another day at the grindstone done. Overslept my first class, Missed my second because I didn't have the assignment ready, and drew the wrong picture in the third. Tried for abstract and ended up with surreal. On the plus side I now have a bitching picture of a pack of ICBMs ("Intercontinental Banana Missiles") :D coming down through an upside down lightning storm with the tornado from Wizard of Oz. And to add insult to injury checked my dating site inbox and the only mail I received can be boiled down to "I'm already dating someone, piss off!". Just another day in the life...

@Carnage
Eww Alliance DX Actually I don't mind alliance that much as long as they aren't douchehats, which you don't seem to be. I actually started alli as a night elf back in the day, and got fed up with my own factions bullshittery and switched sides. Haven't played alli since, but always wanted to try Draenai. Now with Wulfen as well I may have to give them another shot. I think I'll roll one up on Cen circle on the off chance we run across each other lol. When I get the money that is... Hoping to be able to pick up Cataclysm and a 2 month card at same time from campus store.

@Music Stuff
I like Metallica's guitar work, but as soon as the vocals kick in I usually change the channel. His voice just makes me want to hit something, and not in a good way. Turns out most all of the music that metallica does that I liked were covers of other stuff anyway. At least it made me track down Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band ^_^ Oh yeah, and NIN is awesome. As far as slipknot is concerned, I actually like their older album better. Their new stuff doesn't seem to have the same passion as their older stuff.

i didn't have a ton either, and most of the ones i had were ones that i had attended. i didn't record them personally, but was able to find people who did. my favorite was metallica during the garage inc tour at roseland ballroom (they played nothing but covers, and had a metallica tribute band, battery, open for them)

I heard that the Roger Waters concert that is rolling across the US right now is the show of all shows. I really want to check that out if it doesn't conflict with my schedule. That might be the only act I would like to see in a huge stadium or arena.

On the opposite spectrum, I would love to check out Rob Zombie in a small venue. I heard that he occasionally hits small concert halls, and the shows are un-f'n-believable!

I dislike that people have so much music, most people haven't even heard all they have. I know every single sound on Dark Side of the Moon, most people can't even say that about their favourite (and usually less complicated) album. The quality of music is dropping simply because people don't demand that it's better.

I'm wearing this right now

It is the Brittney Spears and Glee generation that is in control now. They can care less about what music really is. They rather eat a mouthful of cheese. bleeeech!

Robbie and Alice

Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper were in town earlier this year for their gruesome twosome tour thing. I heard it was pretty awesome but I didn't get to go myself.

I've listened to every song that I own at least once, usually multiple times. I know every single nuance of every NIN album until The Slip, which I haven't listened to extensively. I also know the Kidneythieves catalogue very well, small though it is, and can usually tell you the album a Slipknot or Tool song is on as soon as I hear a few opening notes.

I haven't been to that many concerts. Either the bands I like aren't touring, they charge too much, or I have nobody to go with.

I'm hoping that The Protomen come somewhere around here, but so far it seems unlikely.

Dating sites >< I feel your pain, so much so.

I never end up picking which side I'm on, I just follow my friends and their mood swings until I find myself a home. Like now I've got a guild so they've switched to Horde >< they can bite my shadowy purple ass if they think I'm joining them.

I have a Draenai shammy I rarely play anymore, but she was my original toon when I started. Also saving the name Puppies for my Worgen ;)

If you create a toon on Cen Circle feel free to drop me a line, always nice to have familiar peoples to quest or do randoms with.

I think the people in this thread are the first people I've talked to who play WoW who haven't tried to convince me to join. Again.

My brother still owes me for the two months I played with him.

Friends are overrated

@Carnage Yeah, following friends is what got me playing on runetotem. Ironically with the exception of my room mate at the time who followed me, I never ended up grouping with my RL friends since they always had better things to do. go figure. I'll send you a Pm with my character name once I get the game up again. It may be a little while though. I lost all my hours at work about a month ago so money is kinda tight right now.

@Rhyst I hate when people do that. I play WoW off and on, but I also like trying new MMO's out. It gets annoying when people assume if you aren't playing WoW then you obviously should be. It's an alright game, but I've played far better. The only reason I keep going back and picking up a month at a time is because there is so much of the world to explore and it's nice to always be able to talk to people if you are bored. Er, in real time that is. I'm actually enjoying talking to you guys (and I mean guys metaphorically :D) in literotica. I figured it'd be all cyber all the time or something but ya'll are more like a big group of friends.

What? My DBM taunting you with my raid boss kills wasn't enticing enough? ;)

Omg seriously going to bed now... I mean it... >.>

lol, nope. I'll congratulate you, but it won't make me play, haha. I'd need more enticement than that ;)

I mostly play LotRO right now, when I feel like MMO'ing. Mostly I play SCII or Homeworld 2, though.

My friends and I just created a chat channel cause we're almost never in the same raid, group, etc. as we all play for different reasons. Alot of my friends are feeling the money crunch too, but yea drop me a line when you get back up and running :) Really wish I could find someone new to the game to get a referal and that awesome mount, lol.

I figured it'd be all cyber all the time or something but ya'll are more like a big group of friends.

Well that's after you've scared off the kiddies who want all cyber all the time ;)

Answering posts from bed does not count as going to bed damnit! *sigh*

Go to bed or I'll... start groping! Yes!

haha

Lol I'm sitting in bed as well.
*Sigh* don't remind me about the reward mount. I got my room mate a referral right about when wrath came out, and we got all the way up to only one more month for the mount when he decided to quit on me. If I would have had the money I woulda just paid for it myself T_T

some concert prices are pretty ridiculous, but i think the biggest thieves are ticketmaster. a few months ago godsmack was playing somewhere in nyc, and i was going to buy a ticket. i think they were $65 initially but then the fees brought it up to $80, fuck that. i like godsmack, but not that much.

a lot of my friends aren't into the same music that i'm into either, but i decided a while ago that if no one wants to go to a show then i would go by myself. i'd rather do that as opposed to missing a show.

Grope-fest!

lol Being groped to sleep is new ;)

Oh wow that totally sucks :(

wow, that sacrilege. i've been lucky enough to have been able to see a lot of bands that i like over the years, and i have to say that out of all of them metallica by far puts on the best show. but to each their own
It wasn't a bad show as such but Slipknot was AWESOME and Metallica had problems with the soundsystem. At some point it even died completely, so not their luckiest night. Lars Ulrich made a speech in Danish though, that was kinda cool :)
@Music Stuff

As for "guitar work", we all know that Maiden is far more awesome ;)

There's one song by Alice Cooper that makes me wet...

Then obviously it isn't you I was bitching about :p

The last tickets I got were $100, then of course in the other end of Denmark so I had to spend another 50$ on train tickets... :eek:

Indeed.

There's one song by Alice Cooper that makes me wet...

What song is that?

Well, obviously.

Nice red text :D
