lol Oh, I'm sure :p

I have pretty much the same shirt, but more Heroes themed and with a random date, lol.

I would. At have a lot of fun with them in addition to using them as pillows :D

That's pretty cool. I always love mashup shirts like that.

You're likely about 19-20 now, if my math isn't off. I'm not much older, but still older. Heck, my last girlfriend was older than that by a couple years and I still felt like a cradle robber, haha.

Still wouldn't stop me, though, haha.

Edit: My uncle loved vinyl, had a bunch of his country records on vinyl. I've never listened to vinyl extensively, so I'm not sure what the sound difference is, although I've heard it described as richer. Still, impressive that you have 300 vinyl records.
21 last week, but yeah.

Hon, if you've first gotten into the sound of the pick up as it first touches the vinyl then CDs just wont be enough. And I hate listening to things like Ramones on CD, where the sound is so clear you just know it wasn't made like that.
Listening to CDs are like reading a book that has been traslated, details are just lost. That said, music created for CDs I wont buy on vinyl.

That is an impressive collection of vinyl, Malstroem, especially to me who comes from a generation where everything was bought, dubbed or mixed with cassette tapes. All of my favorite Metallica, Megadeth and AC DCs have degraded to a choppy garble! Or my mix tapes that I made for the car sound like someone is playing the song on an old beat up radio in the next room. I missed that wonderful age of vinyl, but was very excited when the digital age came around.

I never got into napster much because I was all scared of Lars Ulrich sneaking into my house at night and breaking my hard drive. (Anyone remember this video?) Looking back, it is crazy how much things have changed in the last decade. I mean, CDs are obsolete, but vinyl is a collectible. Downloading music is now fine and dandy. Now, anyone can sing through the use of Auto Tune (even the news)! Plus we store hundreds if not thousands of songs and little portable boxes that will probably give us cancer. Technology is a wild ride! ;)

I have not owned a cool rock shirt in a few years, but one of my favorites was from the band Jackyl. Sadly in the end, that shirt smelled too much like teenage boy, so I had to burn it. A fitting tribute I think to a hero that helped get me through many a teenage angst!

And I can't wait for cookies!

Oh yes, the good old days. Even I remember making mixed tapes for the car.
I sadly on have Megadeth on CD but a bit of both Metallica and AC/DC on vinyl too. Those are bands I got into before I got a recordplayer so most of their albums I just have on CD.

Lars Ulrich, while being one of the few musical people I can be proud to call a fellow Dane, he really did suck at times.

I dislike that people have so much music, most people haven't even heard all they have. I know every single sound on Dark Side of the Moon, most people can't even say that about their favourite (and usually less complicated) album. The quality of music is dropping simply because people don't demand that it's better.

I'm wearing this right now

Hiya Mal! Ah, yes, Iron Maiden.

My best friend when I was younger was huge into NIN, and got me into a bunch of different music. My cousin got me into a bunch of music when we were younger: he put this in my stereo when we were going to sleep, and he started listening to this band when they came out with Darkest Days and got me sucked in.

 another SW fan!?! how cool! this was the song that got me hooked onto them. did you ever get a chance to see them live? in-fucking-credible!

I never liked Slipknot really, however at 14 I saw them live as support for Metallica and they were way better than Metallica.

wow, that sacrilege. i've been lucky enough to have been able to see a lot of bands that i like over the years, and i have to say that out of all of them metallica by far puts on the best show. but to each their own

I think Slipknot have got progressively better over the years in both lyrical content and musicianship. But I can understand why people might not like them.

i agree. i really don't like their older stuff at all, but when vol 3 came out i started to get into them a little more. definitely wouldn't consider myself a fan, but i like a few of their songs

Reasons

From one of my favorite comics. I thought the nerd-crowd here would enjoy. :D

haha, that was pretty good, thanks

Evening my little geeklings

hi pen :D

How are you both doing this evening? or afternoon as it might be where you are

you were right the first time ;) it's evening here. i'm doing well, thanks. glad to be home from work and i think i'm actually gonna go to the gym for the first time in a few months. if you don't hear back from me it means i died while on the treadmill. how are you doing?

I could make some mean joke about that, but I won't

I'm doing well, a fairly normal day at work, and then had my vets gaming night which went well

wow, that's pretty awesome.

It's a little excessive. I somehow lost a remix I had gotten off of Kazaa back in the day, and I could only find it as part of a massive torrent with tons of remixes/live shows, so I ended up getting the whole thing.

i used to have a bunch of live shows that used to be on the computer when i lived at home, and after i moved out i never backed them up and the computer crashed. it always pissed me off that i never backed them up. i know i had a few SW shows in there.
