Sounds like you are on a Windows machine.
1) make sure you clear the list from "open recent" under the file menu. How, I believe you need to go to Preferences for the application. Set list to zero. If you can't do this, and say there are 8 things in the list, then open 8 "clean" files to make sure these don't pop up in list of recent files....
2) depending on how many files you have, group them all into one innocuously lableled folder and in the OS password protect the whole thing. Click on Help and type in encrypt for help. If it isn't built into your OS, try a google search for PGP or some free encryption utility.

3) Take folder with innocuous name and drag onto .zip or Stuffit (aladdin software) and compress the files into one archive. I beleive you will have the ability to password encrypt prior to compression. Stuffit is free, there is likely many windows apps shareware/freeware forthe same.
