Hello every one i am relitivley new and havent made that many post but i see all the good advice every one is getting so i had to ask this question
First my story...... I am just getting out of a two year relationship and am finding it difficult to meet new people.. i was stupid enough to let this past relationship ruin all my friendships (although i was able to salvage the ones who really matterd) But i have difficulty aproaching new people (namley atractive women) I have never had this problem before but i have been out for so long im not sure what to do??? any advice:D

Its not unusual for people to clam up and be wary of approaching attractive members of the opposite sex.

The best advice that I can give you is to be yourself, don't try putting on any airs and graces just be who you are. I'm sure that you'll be a welcome change to the 'big headed' braggarts that ply their lines on the same women.

When it comes down to it all we all want is some honesty.

my advice is to take your time, get used to meeting new people. dont rush into anything, the added pressure of finding someone right away will only make it harder. since you starting all over again, i would suggest approaching people who are at one of your fav places, this way you know you allready have something in common.

oh yeah, bindii is right, please dont use cheesy p/u lines!

good luck, wishing you the best!

I had the same problem...found it worked better when I didn't try to meet women (I think they can smell "desperate"!) and just let things happen plus it never hurts to smile alot and look like you are having a good time. Confidence (not cocky) always helps too. Just my input.

Ugh... no cheesy pick up lines! *gags* oh wait, I don't even get those.... hmm....

Personally I like it if a guy can come up to me and just say "hey what's up." If there's attraction/conversation sparks then it was worth it. If not, at least you proved you've got some balls. ;)
