That's the literal translation from German, but I'm trying to translate the phrase into something that makes more sense. So far, on-line dictionaries and Mr. Mischka haven't been all that helpful. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

I doubt if it'll be of much help, but if you'll post the original & I can try it with my Klett's Dictionary.

That's kinda the problem. A German guy wrote this article, in English, and it's littered with "Wisdom sits in places!" which really looks odd. I just tracked down lavender, though, and I think she can help.

My first language is German. ;)

I had my mind boggling on what this phrase could have been in the original.... he may have meant: Sometimes wisdom is to be found in the oddest places/moments/things.

I'll have a think about it. :)
