Even with a slow start, the Spurs lead at the half.

Both Duncan and James have three fouls. That could lead either one or both to have foul trouble in the second half. I feel that the Spurs could do without Duncan better than the Cavs could do without James.

The opening minutes of the second half will be key here.

From what I've seen, Game 3 is happening just as I figured it would. My boys are having a harder time maintaining a lead, and Duncan's getting too itchy.

I won't be surprised if we lose this one, but we'll still take the series.

Although, at the moment, we're holding a five-point lead

I have never seen any team get as many breaks from the refs as the Spurs. Good lord, Bowen fouled James on purpose, right in front of the ref, and there's no call. FUCK!!!


Then again, they were about 2 for 75 from the 3 point line, so maybe it should have never come down to that. *shrug*

I'll never be one to argue the calls of refs. I don't get that deep into the game. But one thing I have learned is that luck seems just as important as skill in a game such as basketball.

We took Game 3. I'm sure there will be all sorts of analysis and second-guessing regarding the outcome, just as there is in ANY close game. As a Spurs fan, I'm happy.

That's all that matters to me.

An interesting negative comparison. Ginobili stunk up the place for the Spurs, however, Gibson stunk up the place even worse for the Cavs.

Neither Duncan nor James was able to shine in a key game.

The Cavs did show a lot more life with the injured Huges out.

The next game should be interesting.

The Cavs had to win game three. They didn't. With their playoff experience, I don't believe the Spurs will blow four straight games like the Mavs did last year. But then again, I still don't believe the Mavs blew that series.

The NBA season lasts...what a year and a half...then along comes the playoffs which last the rest of the year. Every team in the league except two get into the playoffs.

And Zeb, exaggerate much? The baseball season has more than twice as many games. And so they have sixteen teams in the playoffs, so what? If they didn't we wouldn't have gotten to see the Mavericks vs. the Warriors, which in my opinion was the best series of the playoffs this year.

I doubt they would've won. Bowen fouled him immediately and, even if he'd gone to the line, the Cavs are one of the worst free-throw shooting teams in the league. It just wasn't their game to win.

OK, sports fangs! Tonight is the fourth game of the NBA playoffs. The Cavs win tonight or take the rest of the spring and summer off. The Spurs are favored by three.
