NBA Finals!

I'm not going to be hyped for the finals until the Lakers show up again. I'm hoping Kobe whines and threatens to demand more trades so Buss signs some talent to the roster. They need it badly.

The Cavs are down by 27 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. If they can score another 29 points in the 4th quarter as they did in the 3rd quarter and hold the Spurs scoreless in the 4th, the Cavs win. Aint gonna' happen.

Nope. This one's in the bag.

I was hoping for a closer game, though. Makes the series more interesting.

I kind of hope that the Spurs just crush the Cavs to where the fans in Cleveland boo their team. At least it'll make for interesting reads on the sports news websites.

I may be a die-hard Spurs fan, but I wouldn't wish that on any team. The Cavs have the potential to be a great team, from what my sports-savvy buddies tell me. Maybe this series will be a learning experience for them.

And next season, they'll be tougher to beat.

I hate to make the comparison, because everyone does, but this might be for Lebron what Detroit was for Jordan. That stumbling block that took him a few seasons to conquer. The guy's only 22 or something. He'll have rings before his career is over.

Cavs have managed to close the gap. We only have a nine-point lead now.

One thing that can be said for the Cavs, they can come back strong.

It'll be a tough three games in Cleveland, I think.

That crap pisses me off. Dropping a 29 point lead to 9 in, like, six minutes. Gah!?

:D That's why I love this game. Unpredictablity. Chaos theory in motion.

Once again, the Cavs rally strongly at the end to make it seem respectable. However, the Cavs have to play the full 48 minutes to have a chance.

Bruce Bowen has been able to pretty much counter LeBron James and LeBron has to have a monster game for the Cavs to win.

The Cavs do get home court for the next three games.

And we know how the Spurs do during away games in a series like this.

We'll lose the third game, barely make the fourth, and either win the series in five, or, as I suspect, lose the fifth and come back home to seal the deal in Game Six.

Just my humble prediction. ;)

We will have to wait and see.

If the Spurs take the third game, then I would suspect that the Cavs maybe win the fourth game before the Spurs close out the series.

If the Cavs take the third game, then it might go six games, but I can't see the Cavs beating the Spurs in the series.

Then again, that is why they actually play the games.

Exactly. ;)

See ya next game, RR.

Man, I cunt weight!

It sucks because UFC Fight Night is on the same time as the Finals game. I'll be switching back and forth.

It's game 3 time! The first home game for the Cavs.
Please, can I get one decent performance from Cleveland so I don't feel like I wasted my time.

I feel the same way....Slap Shot is on AMC. :nana:

At least for the first quarter, the Cavs are out rebounding the Spurs. If that keeps up, it could be an interesting game.

And Cleveland has it's first end of the quarter lead. Now we'll see if they can stay solid. Win or lose, I just want to see them put together 4 good quarters. It's that playing like crap for 15 minutes and turning the game into a joke that bothers me. The Bulls did it twice against Detroit, or that would have been a really good series.

It's pretty close now, but the Spurs have a way of needling in streaks and getting big leads fast.

They're like water breaking against a damn. They're so freaking consistent it's maddening. The first time the opponent falters, there they go. That's why I thought Cleveland had a chance. They're more explosive and if they stayed moderately close, they could catch a run a win. Unfortunately, they just played really bad in long spurts, getting themselves too far behind to catch up in both of the first two games.

They should change their name to The Stepford Spurs. :D

I think the thing with the Spurs is that they're so precise and calibrated a team, with all the experience, you can't make too many mistakes with that or they make you regret it.

Their only weakness (besides Ginobli's turnovers) is Duncan's proclivity for getting cheap fouls. He was awful on the US Olympic team...I think he should get the, "What, that couldn't possibly be a foul on me!" look patented. BTW, he just got his 3rd, so can Cleveland maintain without him & Labron in the game?
