I just have a thing about my nails. I always feel very self consious of them when they are short. I have kind of short fingers so I think they look much better with long fingernails....

And the color tonight is called brandywine. It is a deep burgendy red. I love it!

I was just thinking about hands today at work -

suppose I ask you to show me your hands - do you hold them out palms up, or backs up? I think I read somewhere that men tend to show the palms, women show the backs of their hands & their nails.

I love mine long and painted, but right now they're too short and destroyed from work to be pretty. Tthey grow quickly, tho, lucky me. I like shiny bright colors - blues or lavenders, or copper.

OK, I know I am not drunk. But I have no clue what your post means. It would appear you like all nails?

I wish I had long, beautiful tapered nails but I don't. And I believe most artificial nails look too fake.

I wear mine medium length and go through phases as far as color goes. I usually just wear a clear topcoat in the wintertime. But in the summertime, with a light tan, I go for color. Either a mauve, plum color family or fire engine red.

And Ruby, I always use toenail polish and wear strappy sandals to show them off.

You might like OPI Tutti Frutti Tonga, 99. It's a very, very light, pearlized white, peachy pink color. It would look fantastic with a tan. It has very little color really, but more shine and depth than clear.

In the winter I keep them medium length nicely rounded without polish. In the summer when I am wearing sandals I like to paint my toes so therefore I paint my fingers also. Usually a brown or copper, sometimes some pinks or light purples.

I like my nails to be a bit on the long side. Back in the day when I wasn't a dirt poor student I would go and get a manicure one a week. I had gorgeous nails. Now I spend about 15 hours a day in front of the computer. If not at work, then at school and if not there then at home perving. And though I love it I no longer have the gorgeous nails I once had all that typing chips at them. Midterms and finals drive me to nail biting and by the time they look like they're growing back I've got another test.
