hey man...glad you liked it...
there are planes leaving everyday for Middle-Earth....
just find one bound for Christchurch New Zealand and experience
Middle earth first hand.
If i sound like a travel brouchre...forgive me.

I was born and bred here in ChCh and any chance i get to sing her praises i will.

The premier of the movie is tonight (on now as we speak).and the general release starts at 12.01pm local time.

regards Draco... (a proud Middle-Earthian)

and PETER JACKSONS A KIWI.
Watch out Hollywood..your days are numbered.!!

There's one condition tho, Nasty. If you take that flight to NZ to see it right away, you have to sneak me into your suitcase and drop me off at least in Aukland. I can get to Christchurch from there. :D

You're gonna LOVE IT, provided, you don't mind long movies. Despite the nearly 3 hrs., it once the acxtion gets moving, it REALLY doesn't seem that long. The visual and special effects are top-notch. This is the best fantasy i've seen since Legend. Even better than that, if you ask me.

Is there time for fucking? If not, NO WAY!!!!!!! Ok, maybe. :)

My plan is to see it the 3rd of Jan. already made a date with my wife to go see it. Our 18th wedding anniversary. Crowds should be down by then.

Have a nice dinner, go to the movies.

So don't ruin it by replaying the movie here if'n you please.

Can't wait to see it.

I just got home from the midnight showing here, and let me tell you, I THOROUGHLY loved it. I truly think it did justice to Tolkien's vision. The length of the movie didn't bother me in the least, when it was over I felt like I had been there for five minutes and was ready for them to start the next one!

I was impressed to a great degree. It had action, without unnecessary blood or gore, it had emotion without getting cheesy, it had magic without turning it into a "Hey! Look what Gandalf can do!" sort of thing. I got goosebumps several times (the ride to the ford with the Black Riders in pursuit? Wow!), I teared up several times (directly after the mines, and Boromir even) I felt vindication and triumph, and at the end, even a sense of destiny for the lonely pair and then an eagernes for the hunt of the rest.

If you have not seen this movie, GO SEE IT. I will again. And again when I go home for Christmas.

I really cannot recommend this movie enough, I cannot wait for next December in all honeaty.

i think im going to see it sunday please nobody ruin it ;) even though i've read the book i guess so i know the story i think im going to try and avoid LOTR threads :)

glad you liked it nasty

Sexy-girl, I did try to be ambiguous in my examples, but if you felt I was too specific, please do tell me. I would HATE to ruin things for people. (btw-if anyone wants to know if they should get the soundtrack to the movie? YES.... unequivocally)

im not going to read any lotr threads/posts if i can help it :)

so thanks for being non-specific in your discription of the film but it was fine its my fault if i read a post and spoil it not the posters fault

Oh good, I'm glad to know that I didn't offend someone with a mouth as delicious looking as yours....

(sorry, couldn't help it... your AV is doing things to me)

I'm glad to hear the great reviews! Now, I'm less afraid to see the movie.

But, I do have a question...

Does it follow the book?

Chanaud, one or two things are left out... but only the stuff not pivotal to the plot.... one or two things are a bit diferent. But I would have to definitely say YES

The book was followed quite faithfully and I was extremely pleased. Trust me, if they had done a bad movie, I would be here screaming and vowing vengeance on thsoe who had destroyed the good name of Tolkien.

okay... they couldn't destroy Tolkein's rep.... instead of that let's say "sullied" :D:D

Excellent! Reading this thread just sent chills down my spine. I can't wait to see it now.
