I play basketball and soccer quite well, and have tried my hand at a lot of others. I'm waaaaay to short to play basketball(5'6") but I managed to get into my university team (one of the only chinese guys ever to do so)

And I've been approached about a professional career in soccer....

Not just to make you feel better, but...

I will admit to at one time mastering "Mary Had a Little Lamb", Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "The Marine's Hymn" on the clarinet. A dog bite and six stitches in my upper lip ended my career as an instrumentalist, but I think that only accelerated my demise. (I never mastered the scales, reading music, or following the conductor's directions -- just those three songs.)

An OHL official did once inquire about my personal info because there was talk that I might be drafted into the OHL(Ontario Hockey League, Major Junior again) but I was passed on by even the Mississauga Ice Dogs. Damn you Cherry, Damn you!!!!!!!

Most pro and semi pro teams run youth squads and recruitment schemes for young players....i passed on the chance to focus on my education but i'm thinking of playing semi professionally after I graduate. There's a team which is willing to let me try out and are at a pretty high level so maybe something will happen. If it doesn't I still get to play soccer every week which is good enough for me anyway

It's true.....when I was young, like all kids who can't play soccer I was stuck in goal and played there for a couple of years.

When it became obvious I wasn't going to be the tallest lad around I moved outfield!
