I finally joined Facebook dating. It's been about a week, and I finally got some matches.

So far, I've messaged everyone, trying to be thoughtful and indicate that I at least read their profile.

One though. Identifies as a demi sexual and claims to be specifically uninterested in getting physical until we prove to be deeply in love and committed.

I've mixed feelings. As a strategy, intense sexual chemistry has made past relationships feel more doable than they actually were.

And its certainly possible that a demi has healthy and intriguing sexual appetites once awakened.

But I'm scared of forming a deep and binding set of feelings for someone only to find out their demisexuality was just a dating strategy and a mask for low libido.

As someone- whom gave up on Facebook dating.. Not long after I started. Believe them. They are probably the real deal, and just because they don't want to be intimate before you'll commit.. Doesn't mean, you can't ask questions..--- I know, you aren't interesting in this right now.. But I would like to know if we are on the same page as our wants and desires, when and if we get there.. --

Yeah, I've not actually dated around much. I like having someone who wants me to themselves.

Also, never had a lot of money for dates or social skills for wooing lol

Thought that might be a plus to being single again. The chance to really explore the dating world.

We'll see I guess if it turns out to be a positive experience.

But you're right, a profile isn't a lot of information. Ask questions, let her talk.

Now we'll see if she even responds to a message lol..

She's the first profile I've seen that sends the geek flag high. Which is promising
