Multiple part stories

Hi,

I'm fairly new here, and I've just submitted my first second part to a story. How do I link the two together as I've seen on other author's pages?

I would guess that you'd either edit your original post and add to it OR make a second post with the continuation, but place the link to the original at the top of the post and/or the bottom of the post.

You can also put the chronological list of stories in your sigline and personal profile.

I can't swear by it, but if you title the second the same as the first, add ch 2 and whatever else you might like after that and make sure you put it in the same category as the first, it'll at least help keep the stories listed together when someone searches or browses the stories.

I believe there's also a notes to the editor / approval person section when you're entering the submission, I'd certainly suggest putting a note there that the story is tied to a previous one and give the link to the old story. Aside from that, drop the question in the Authors' Hangout portion of this board. They've been good about answering my questions as I learn my way around here.

The editors will do it for you. Just submit the story as: "Same Title as Chapter One Ch. 2" and they will put them together. They'll even fix little mistakes, like I labeled something "Ch. 2" then "Ch: 03" then "ch. 4" and they made them all uniform and pretty.
