Multifarianism. The new religion

A rhubarb is a root. You have to add it something else to even make it taste okay..usually cherry.

The thing about rhubarb..is that it’s extremely poisonous when consumed raw.

There is is no need to consume it, whatsoever.

I prefer to add starwberries.
Not that I eat it, I just cook the stuff.

Er, not to be rude, but what do you know about my "sense of atheist"? All Multifarians or Uniatrians are not atheists. I know what an atheist is.

I don't believe in any God or Supreme Being, or any supernatural deity or "force" of nature or the cosmos, or in any sort of moral or phsyical architect or overlord to the universe; I don't believe in Good, Evil or Morality as either incarnate forces or divine dogma; I don't believe in a soul or Godhead or a third eye; I don't believe in the remotest form of an afterlife, or any sort of supernatural or even corporeal existance after expiration; I don't believe that the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, the Koran, the Gnostic Gospels, or even the I Ching were written by anyone but men, and that their revered status is more a consequence of their antiquity than their divinity; and I don't believe that any of the above can truly be reconciled by everyone who calls himself a Multifarian; and, finally, despite the above, I do believe in spirituality (insofar as it applies to humanism), the power of prayer (as it applies to the butterfly affect wherein one small system can influence larger systems), and the protection of all faiths with respect to the law.

Tarot cards and Astrology are real, though. Yup. You betcha.

DCL, I do appologise. I don't find it at all rude and accept that I I said that withour knowing about the sense you give to "atheism". I do know it better now that I have read your anti-credo.

Your credo - spirituality ( wrt humanism), prayer and tollerance - is something I am comfortable with. Possibly what I've been trying to say.

As long as its not rhubarb pie. I don't believe in rhubarb pie. Tell me one person who has ever seen a rhubarb.

i have seen this mythical beast known as a rhubarb. i had to travel the earth in search of it for years, but find it i did. and yay, it was one WEIRD sum'bitch!

it all started in this Shanghi night club, Club Obi Wan, back in 1931.... well, i COULD go into my galant quest in detail, but you kids probably don't give two shakes of a dead ass cock, do you?

baaaah...

*adjusts my brown fedora and cracks my bull whip*

"Dead ass cock" sound like a good description of the rhubarb to me, Scylis.

That is sooooo true :D

Morning, Pixie, star of the North. Much rhubarb in Finland then?

I have this image of of waving a stick of rhubarb, a magic wand. Ridiculous, like walking naked with an erection. Where is it going? A triffid in search of a target to latch on to.

And a good afternoon to you sir :)

Yup, way too much of the stuff. Thankfully I don't have to eat it.
I just cook with it for those who choose to consume it.

Good luck on you search :D

Didn't say I felt like a dead ass cock, stick of rhubarb or a triffid, pixie, but I own up to the quest.

Now what I'm seeking I'm not sure, but I know the direction I'm pointing in, and where's it's taking me is a mystery.. I'm just happy to be on the journey.

Okey, now that reminds me...

Of a sentence uttered by this one TV personality over here.
He used to end his interviews by saying to the guest...

"Good luck on the path you have chosen."

He said it in Finnish of course,
but I thought I'd translate it for your convenience :D

I didn't think you felt like that...
I just had a mental image of a poor lost soul walking around naked,
with an erection and trying to find a target to latch on to :D

My computer's not that portable, pixie.

What's going on in Finland, today? What are you up to?

"God won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz..."

Naah, scratch that, I'd rather have a laptop computer :D

Nothing much going on here.
Just hanging around on Lit, avoiding work to the best of my abilities.

It's quiet here. Almost silent. Blue sky. There's a soft breeze through the window and some birds building nests.

Here's a poem for you, Pixie: It feels summery today.

Each angled sweep of grass and tree
With finches blown, by summer winds
Playing jazz, of movement, testaments to
Our own inner displacements:
We need pianoing more
and forte,

Nature's seen it all before.

Blind chance is not, however,
The editor per se
Of all entwinings.

Re-write the script a little
And make a play with life.

Thanks, pixie:rose: :rose:

Lit. is like quiet cathederal just now.
I'm off to put the lunch on.

Don't forget your position! and I'll toss the salad with my rhubarb.:)

Bon appetit then...

I shall be most devout in my duties :)

Hmm...now isn't that an interesting way to toss a salad.
But it's your salad after all, do as you please :D
