ok i just saw 'the fast and the furious' and thought...cool.

Then i thought that it would be cool as the backdrop to a story or five...

Is there anybody who knows anything remotley-detailed about this subject or can point me in the direction of a useful website?

I'd like to use some technical jargon in this, and instead of just lifting it from the film i'd like to know abit more about it.

Any takers?

Yeah i know i should probably have put this in the story ideas/discussion boards, but here it might get more attention (no mentions of cliques here thankyou)

What exactly are you looking for, actual tech info or the ins and outs of street racing?

Check import mags for technical jargon.

Bit of both really... the brand names and modifications the cars get, general costs... whats cool, whats lame. stuff like that
