My vote goes to Midnight Run from 1988. Action/comedy. Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin have some of the best chemistry ever filmed. Legendary one-liners. Anybody remember this one? What’s your nomination?

Tough Question

Two that get my vote are, The Devil Wears Prada and Monsters, Inc.

I liked Prada a lot since it is about career challenges in a hostile setting. Monsters, Inc. because it is a great story about friendship.

Monsters wasn't under rated, though. It was a praised movie by Pixar.

The questions was about under rated movies.

That is a very good movie.

"Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead"

That was good but probably forgotten.

Dr Zhivago.

Super movie, excellent in every way.

But 'underrated'? Five Oscars, five Golden Globes, one of the top-ten highest-grossing films in history. Not quite underrated. But, yes, very good!

My call would the the 1975 Man Who Would Be King. Outstanding cinematography and a decent plot. It got mixed reviews and just nominations, not awards. If I had to put up a second, it would be the 1982 Blade Runner, with the best use of light in any movie ever.

Not really sure if award sweeping blockbusters qualify as "underrated" . The Devil Wears Prada while not the biggest of all time or anything it made a fuck ton of money and got showered in awards and got rave reviews from pretty much everyone.

Anyhow......

My favorite underrated flicks list.

I think Mr Caine had already peaked in Zulu TBH

The 13th Warrior

- Granted you have to get over Antonio Banderas playing an Arabian prince, but once you get past that it's a great John McTeirnan flick
