I was thinking of putting together a CD of the Most Romantic Songs, Ever.

I need some ideas of what songs to include. I want the kind of songs that remind you of passionate kisses. The kind that make you want to jump your lover's bones on the spot. The kind that twist at your innards and .... well, you get the idea.

So far I've come up with two I consider to be very romantic:

1. Wicked Game - by Chris Isaak

2. Nights in White Satin - by the Moody Blues

Please help me add to the list.

This kiss ( it always makes me want to kiss somoeone better than the kiss she discribes.

Lost Together---Blue Rodeo

Unchained Melody---Rightchous.Brothers
(can't spell)

Wonderful Tonight -- definite possibility (I love the commercial that uses that song!) :)

Lost Together - not familiar with that one

Unchained Melody -good, good

Endless Love - will have to listen to it again to be sure

Thanks for the suggestions all!

For nice, sultry, and wanna get nekkid and do things that will hurt in the morning - #1 Crush by Garbage

I love "Music of the Night" (Streisand/Crawford version) from one of her Broadway albums.

Oh, and what's that one? You Look Wonderful Tonight ... or something like that.

(Don't forget Brick House by the Commodores, too!)

:D

Come Away With Me - Nora Jones

She's Got A Way - Billy Joel

Faithfully - Journey

Breathe - Faith Hill

Sunrise - Nora Jones

Time In A Bottle -- Jim Croche
Something Like This -- Billy Joel
At Last -- Etta James
To Make You Feel My Love -- Garth Brooks
The Rose -- Bette Midler
Turn Me On -- Norah Jones
Truly, Madly, Deeply -- Savage Garden
Love -- John Lennon
You Are So Beautiful -- Joe Cocker

To name a few. What can I say? I'm a romantic. :rose: :)

Has everyone forgotten the song that single handedly increased pregnancy rates in 1994?

I'll Make Love to You ~ Boyz II Men

My Editrix suggests

Everything I Do (I do it for You) - Bryan Adams from Robin Hood.

Has to be what I call the all time most romantic song ever!

You have to go back to the '30's through '50's for really romantic songs. ("Unchained Melody" was written in the 50's. The Righteous Brothers' version was a cover.)

"My One and Only Love" - the original one, the one recorded by Frank Sinatra - would get my vote, but only a few die-hard musicians and torch-song singers still know it.

That kind of drop-dead pure romance doesn't exist anymore. (Fucking isn't the same as romance.)

I definitely have to toss in my vote for Unchained Melody and Wonderful Tonight. There are too many for me to choose, but one that immediately comes to mind is The Cure's Lovesong.

Hmmm.... I may need to make 2 CD's!

:D

*busily downloading songs from iTunes....*

I found a couple of versions of "My One and Only Love" Doc. One from Ella Fitzgerald, and the other from Louis Armstrong. Still looking for the Sinatra version...

I love the Ella Fitzgerald version. But you must hear old blue eyes.
