More Random Thoughts

If a woman had the statistics of how many times guys she knew would masturbate to the idea of her , she would be either really flattered or really creeped out.

Ok,fine.you want the truth? It's eight including all the Lit women I find attractive.

Okay, that's actually all the Lit women.

And eight this weekend. Yes, I know it's only Saturday. I really need to hydrate.

In my defense, I am sixty. And i had stuff to do.

Gotta go. Just had an inspiration!

I couldn't find the movie thread, so I'll post this here.

I was STUNNED by the documentary movie, "They Shall Not Grow Old" made by Peter Jackson. It is amazing what a larger budget for a documentary can produce. I went to see it on back-to-back days because it was that good.

Few attended, so I assume it won't be in theaters very long, but if you DO have a chance to see it, and historical documentaries interest you, I highly recommend it. Theater showings (versus when it is released digitally) includes an additional 30-minutes of behind the scenes footage narrated by Jackson on how they made the 100-year old film footage look so modern and new.

Simply amazing.

I saw that on UK TV at Christmas, it was extraordinary. Very moving. It really brought it all into sharp focus. The 'making of' was really interesting too.

I went to some of the First World War sites a few years ago in France, including Hawthorne Ridge. The guide took us to a place from which to see the huge mine crater and then showed a photograph of men (well, boys, practically, some of them), waiting for it to go off before their attack. They looked utterly terrified.

"Turn round and look behind you", she said.

And there was the exact spot where the photograph was taken.

It was like someone had put iced water down the back of my neck.

Great story. Thanks for sharing it. I have only been to two battlefields in my life - Gettysburg and the spot where Audie Murphy earned his Medal of Honor in WWII.
I was in awe when I saw both places.

As usual, the best stuff is shown months earlier in England than in the States. It is only just now in theaters. Definitely not a normal documentary, that's for sure.

If public nudity wasn't looked down upon, and sex wasn't considered sacred, jacking off would probably be a sport.

There’s a handful of movies that are so bad, not even worth being considered background noise.

I think the single sheet synopsis of the YouTube video, "Every Story is the Same" I created will be appreciated by my Writer's Group at our meeting Thursday.

It would be great if when it snowed the snow avoided roads and driveways, just saying, the snow could have a little respect…
