hrm, my point was only that the only time i ever hear anything about any BDSM or anyone involved in it....it is about some child abuser, kidnapper or murderer...

I didn't say he was arrested for partaking in BDSM activities, I said he was arrested for

tieing up and using belts and ropes to whip students.

Again, the point being that it gives nilla people the idea that anyone who does this kind of thing *must* be a criminal...or have some kind of problem "just like that guy on the news" blah

Blambing concenting adults for child abuse is like blaming the catholic church for unrelated agnostic paedophiles. The're more responsible for this than us, perpetrators of countless real tortures, and molestations that we only simulate. I partly blame our violence is good, and sex is dirty media, and the church that spawned it for sadomasochism myself. Just look at the namesake for sadism.

I think we've sufficiently proven our tenacity as well, so your words are falling on deaf eyes. I don't think you're getting it here, lance. Many people who are into bdsm are church-goers, and upstanding members of the community, yes. So are many abusers. Does that mean they are the same people ? Nooooo, not exactly, but some people may jump to that conclusion.

Maybe a sports comparison will make it easier to understand. Let's say football, for example. Bdsm is kicking the ball, abuse is tackling someone. Some people who play football kick but never tackle, some tackle but never kick, and some do both. Does that help ?

Good analogy. That analogy holds for other segments of society too. Not just BDSM. It especially holds true for the so called monogamous vanilla world. Vanilla sex is kicking the ball, abusing your sex partner is tackling. Same old, same old.
