ABSTRUSE said:This past weekend we have been hit by 3 winter storms. Freezing rain, sleet and some snow left much of the city and the state in dangerous conditions. Friday, I managed to visit Sis in the hospital. But Saturday and Sunday it wasn't possible for me to drive down. I am grateful though that the city didn't face as harsh conditions as some areas in St.Louis. We did loose power but only for a few hours.
Sis is doing well. All her physical injuries have healed nicely. She might have a few scars left behind but nothing major. She isn't worried about them. Earlier she grinned and told me they were the mark of a warrior. Her speech has a long way to go before it returns to normal but it doesn't keep her from talking. We chatted about everything except for the accident. She still has no memory of the incident and the Doctors don't want to tell her just yet. They and her various therapists have arranged for her to do in-patient rehab for 6 weeks. After which time they will decide if they can make her an out-patient. It all depends on how fast and well her progress is.
Have a good week. Sis sends hugs to everyone.
