I apologize for not having written sooner but I've had my hands full between the hospital and the break in. Nothing expensive was really taken but then again we don't have much to begin with. I had called the cops. About two nights back they came back this time trying to take my computer. When they saw me come back they hid and while I went inside they ran off leaving the computer. I again called the cops. They believe that the break in was done by "kids" but they don't have any leads at this time.

Things at the hospital are much better now. Sis is recovering from the coma. She now wakes up everyday and each day stays awake longer. Today, she was up for hours. The Doctors are very pleased with her progress. While awake she reaches for items and can follow simple commands. They can't say what the full extent of damage to her brain is yet. We are hoping that it is minimal and something that time and therapy will fix.

I'm sad to say that this is the first of seen of the accident. I didn't even know this was happening. Moonie, you have my warmest thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

The world around us can, at times, seem dark and empty. I often feel alone wondering what's real. What's fantasy? Is it better to stay inside my safe shell where I know nothing can penetrate it and hurt me? Or do I take a risk and let myself out long enough to feel that others do love me and want to see me do better? Being here at Lit was a big step of me coming out of my shell. Moonie, you were one of the first that I remember. We stayed up late into the wee hours of night and had a good chat or two. We certainly shared our laughs together. You are one of the kindest souls I know. Why this happened to you I don't know. Perhaps it is a testament to your strength. Perhaps this happened to you because God knows you can handle it. I don't know. I like to think something good will come of this. The dark hour is now, and quickly fading. Moonie, when you come back out of that shell your in, that coma or lapse of conciousness, you will see what I saw. The love of others is worth enduring any pain for. You are loved Moonie.
