A special thank you to Fairysong. We may not be sisters by blood but I believe we are soul sisters. You have been amazing. Thank you for visiting, for brushing my hair, for my HOT Pink robe, for making sure my brother rested and for being my friend.

Welcome back moonie. So glad to see you posting. As for 'thanking everyone individually', I think most are just so relieved that you are improving, that you needn't worry about things like that. Just do what you need to do to get the best results from the care you have been getting. Your recovery is thanks enough.

When I first got to Lit, I checked this thread and it sent me to the first unread post. That was on page 27. Yes, I've been away for a bit. But if that's what it takes to get Moonie better, I'm outa here!

But seriously. Moonie, like many of the others, I'm one who's path you seldom cross. And although I haven't been on Lit for awhile, you've still been on my mind and in my prayers. Strange how in a community such as ours, we can come together as one to embrace the troubles of a stranger. Strange, but wonderful.

I'm happy for you Moonie. I'm confident you'll be back to full health in no time.

Update!

Hey Abs.

Things here have been very busy. Now that she's out of the medical unit and in the rehab floor they sent out the first medical bills. Brother has contacted a social worker and is trying to make arrangements for the payments. He also has to make plans to pay for the rehab. Inpatient rehab costs a lot but she isn't independent enough to be able to move back home.
Their parents have finally worked things out with immigration and will be coming in shortly(2 weeks with visa and all). Brother's hoping that once his parents are home he can request an out patient rehab for Moonie. She gets frustrated being cooped up in the hospital.

She's doing pretty good overall. Her therapists are happy with her progress. They say she's a very easy patient to work with. She has become quite famous around there. She spends 5 to 6 hours a day doing rebah. Naps quite a bit but when she's up she has managed to talk her nurse to take her to the childrens ward. She's made a habit of reading to the kids there. She smiles and says it speech therapy for her and fun therapy for the kids.

I've been keeping an eye on lil brother to make sure he eats right and sleeps. Can't have both of them in the hospital. I'll tell them. Also, I'll try to stop on lit sometime this week to update. Bother lost internet connection at his place but it should be back up soon.

If anyone needs to know of the quality of Moonie, the fact that she herself is in rehab and yet she finds the strength and time to read to children in the hospital should answer the question.
