Moonlight Elf

God Damn It!

I'm off this thread for a couple of days and look.

Abs,

Please tell Moonie not to give up. I know she's hurting, I know she feels weak. Hell I know that she's probably even thinking of giving up.

Moonie do not give up, please.

If anyone is near her go in and visit, hold her hand, talk to her. For Her sake crack a few jokes and make her smile. Make her realise how much she has to live for even if it hurts you to do so.

One of the most fatal things in medicine is when a person gets tired and gives up. I do not want to see Moonie do this.

If you can get her pissed, get her angry at what has happened and what is hapening to her. If she is angry it will give her the will to fight.

Moonie be happy you aren't my patient, I would be there at your bedside and making you fight. I would piss you off to the point where you want to win just to spite me. I would accept your anger and turn it back to you, I would force you to direct it against your own weaknesses. I would also hold you on the days when you think it is over, and even as I held you I would anger you. I would make you fight, and I would make you work.

You would hate me by the time you left, and yet leave you would. Your hate I can understand and accept, as long as I see you walking out.

this is what made me want to use my "Happily ever after wand" for others.

Where is that wand when I really need it...

Another setback. damn!

Keep fightin' Moonie.

We'd all help if we could.

Prayers and candles will have to do.

You have those from me.

You can beat it Little one, you can beat it.

My mom got viral meningitis when she was in her early 70's. She made a full recovery after a few hairy days......and is now a healthy 85 years old.

We're all rooting for you, we're all there with you (good job its in spirit only, your room would be soooo full), holding you, willing you on.

update from Fairysong

The results came in positive for bacterial Meningitis. They had started her on penicillin when they suspected bacterial. However the culture showed that she has a type of bacteria that is penicillin resistent. They now have her on a combination of 2 new antibiotics and she is doing better.

ps...Cloudy, we need a magik blankie! :)
