It can not predict anything with 100% certainty. It can analyze patterns of climate changes and associated data and result in a higher probability (i.e. the educated part)
yah, I'm sorry that you apparently failed your science classes when you were younger. Maybe you can enroll in one at your local community college. It does sound like you just don't have a grasp for what it is and what it is used for.I benefit from scientific advances all day long. If science can't predict the future, as you say, merely recording temperatures is useless.
Scientific advances come from actual science. For example, we learned to combine certain chemicals and materials to have a desired outcome to make steel and rubber and dish soap.That came from recording inputs and outputs over and over and over. We continue to record them, even for things we are already knowledgeable about.
So we can predict that it will be 70° tomorrow. And we can predict that we will likely have another record breaking summer.

You know, quite possibly the best way to tell the difference between a true expert and someone who thinks they are (because they are, say, a biology major who took one political science course once) is that real experts know there's a whole lot out there they don't know. No one person knows everything about anything, after all, and in the sciences there's a lot that no one understands yet. Thinking you have all the answers is usually a pretty clear sign that you don't really know much of anything on the topic.

We do NOT have the capability to predict long term effects of complex chaotic systems like the climate. Every prediction the hand wringers have made has been wrong.Will it continue? If not, it's not a problem. If science can't predict or use statistics, what good is it in this case?
