Isn't that just drawing attention to the personal information, and ensuring that more people will see it before it gets removed?

Wouldn't it be better to report it silently, rather than plastering links to it all over the place like Cheyenne always does?

or maybe it is a motivation for those who are the mods to move to action a bit faster.

btw.. the original posting of the girls school address is over in the lit personals.

"always" does? Link, please, for other examples of such.

And I deleted the personal info before I even posted at that thread. The link here is because it is on topic of this thread.

Yes, she did delete it and she always does.

So the moderators of the personals aren't doing their job then.

I think reporting it is the best solution. No offense, Linux, but Byron does have a point about giving more attention by reposting stuff.

I'm just linking to the post. if those who will be mods here don't like the idea, I expect they will kill the linking post in the NW thread too.

so it would appear. and/or the users of the personals aren't doing their part and reporting it.

Or maybe it's a bloody nuisance.

I very much doubt that Laurel and Manu will find 30 reports of a single post more motivating than one report.

There is only one way to know for certain.

Actually, the address listed is that of a restaurant, so does it fall into personal info?

Just checked, haven't had anyone reporting the address of a restaurant being posted.

Yup... and if nothing else, the NW thread can serve as a center point for people to know if a GL violating post has been reported. No more guessing if it has been. No more having to bring extra attention by bumping the thread the post is in to say it has or ask if it has been reported.

You should post your home # so we can report it to you directly.

Doesn't matter, I wouldn't answer it... Phones are for modems. Since I have broadband, phone is ignored these days.

I thought you said, "Just checked, haven't had anyone reporting the address of a restaurant being posted."

That's not what I just said.

Can't you edit in some personal info since it has already been reported?
'

Maybe the owners of the restraunt live above it. That way it is their personal info which has been given along with that of their business's.
