Someone pointed out that it was wee hours in the morning when the edit was made, on the Bluesboy thread. Is it likely that the owner was up at that time--maybe getting ready to go to his/her regular day job? Or does the General Board have a mod that we don't know about?

The point made by Cheyenne and others is that someone other than the administrators of Lit (Laurel and Manu in California) edited his posts. It seems logical to assume that someone has been given authority to moderate the GB.

His comments were edited out in less than a half hour from when they were posted. The original logs were not edited out as quickly. I recall, at the time there was some disagreement over whether the logs broke rules since they were logs from a site other than Lit.

It seems just as logical to assume that it could have been Laurel or Manu, as equally as you could assume that it was a secret mod.

Why is it so impossible for them to have been up at 4:30am? They're computer people. For every 9-5'er in the computer dork world, there are two who keep funky ass hours. When Laurel was posting here back in the day, it wasn't at all unusual for her to be here at weird hours.

I stand corrected ... it was in fact an incorrect assumption on my part.

I just heard from Laured and she confirmed that she was the one who edited Bluesey's post.

That makes me feel so much better now.

Well, the basis for this thread for one thing. It would already be answered as to whether the GB needed a moderator- the answer would be "yes" in the eyes of the only ones who matter. The owners.
