Misspent stimulus check....

I was considering spending it on cheap women and expensive scotch. Then I realized cheap and women don't belong in the same sentence and I like bourbon better than scotch.

So, to be practical I'm saving it for dental care as I don't have decent dental insurance. Does decent, cheap dental insurance even exist?

With any money I have left over, I think I'll buy a Fleshlight or something similar. It's not a woman and it ain't cheap either but at least I'll get some stimulus out of my stimulus money.

Rock, not lace.

If she needs handouts from governments, that’s why the help is there. I hope she’s able to keep the lights on and feed her children.

If she doesn’t need it but takes it anyway? That’s different.

We all know lace is trolling, but I was actually curious. I don't really know anything about living abroad. I thought you worked in and then paid taxes in Canada. I had no idea there was a reason to file US taxes if you're not working or earning in any given country.
Yes, I still need to file US taxes. Not sure why, because I don't work in the US and I currently do not own property there. But those are the rules.

Don't be an idiot.

Because any amount you earn in a foreign country, above a certain amount (it used to be $70,000) you still have to pay US taxes on.

Plus, as a US citizen, you have to file taxes even if you didn't have any income.

I’ve never taken any government money and take a dim view of freeloaders.

But i know “ lots of people do it”.

So you don’t take your tax refunds?
They automatically mail it to my house because I file taxes. Should I mail it back? What good would that do?
If I could get to the US to stimulate their economy, I certainly would do so. God knows shopping is way better there.
There is nothing freeloading about it, as I qualify.
I am sorry you don’t.
I do plenty of paying it forward.

There used to be a time when US citizens did not have to pay federal income taxes on income earned overseas. I was in that situation for 7 years when I worked overseas.

As I said, there are lots of people who think what you're doing is okay.

Especially if you qualify for government assistance.

Keep in mind, the thread is called "misspent stimulus check" because lots of people think it's okay.

Keep trolling. I am done with this conversation with you.

I can't say I blame you, freeloader.

Jealousy generally refers to the thoughts or feelings of insecurity, fear, and concern over a relative lack of possessions or safety.

Jealousy can consist of one or more emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness or disgust. In its original meaning, jealousy is distinct from envy, though the two terms have popularly become synonymous in the English language, with jealousy now also taking on the definition originally used for envy alone.

So this means you will not draw social security or medicare? Even if you get so ill that you can't afford to pay for your medical bills out of your own pocket?

If you do draw social security or medicare do you swear not to receive more than what you paid into the system?

Do you know what we call a Democrat? A former Republican whose kids need braces.

I never have, but who knows?

Maybe someday i’ll want Silver to stimulate me.

You do know that your tax refund isn't "government money" it's YOUR money the government kept you from having for a year and didn't pay you interest on for the privilege, yes?

And if you outlive your social security? If you outspend your contributions to medicare, which also are deducted from your social security taxes? For instance if you need a heart transplant that costs $1m.

Also, SS was never meant to be a retirement program. It was meant to give poor people a subsistence wage to live on in their later years.

Just saying.

I'm a little disappointed

I started this thread to have some fun and find out any crazy or interesting things people did with their money.

I DIDN'T expect it to turn into a political discussion. If I wanted a political discussion, I would have put it there on the politics board. You folks have a truckload of other threads to have this discussion in. Kick rocks! And I thought it was jackass of you to jump all over the person who lives in Canada. First of all, its NUNYA...nunya bizness. If she has to pay US taxes for whatever f'd up reason, then it's her money too.

Now...back to the original programming....what you spent your stimulus on. Thank you :)

Of course I know that.
And when I get a check sent in my name, to my Canadian address, that also becomes my money.
Lacey boy is just trolling.
