Missing Dolores - what's with the question marks?

Greetings! My new story, Missing Dolores, has just been published. Everything looks okay with the exception of random rows of question marks highlighted in black that pop up in the text. I'm not sure what to do about it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you submit the story with anything other than letters, numbers or typical punctuation ( - , . > / ? ) characters? What program did you use to write the story?

That looks like some kind of character that didn't render properly.

Interesting that the question marks didn't pop up on my previous submissions. One I submitted about a year ago is fine, but "Missing Dolores" and "Eddy Thaws Out", which just appeared yesterday, both have that issue. I've done nothing different. However, I've been using Word 2010, and the only thing I can guess at is it's so outdated, it creates this weird problem. Maybe I just need to find a newer program.
