I checked and the missing avatars all have different URLs. My guess is this is a technical glitch on Lit's side, or on the side of one of their vendors like their CDN.

It could also be one of those spores that infects other life forms and takes control of them and makes them eat brains or something.

But is this going to be unfucked? In one of the other threads, I've seen a moderator say this was an avatar sweep aimed at removing images incompatible with new rules.

Based on what I remember of the blanked 'tars, there was absolutely nothing about them that was incompatible with the new rules. That includes mine, which was an animal.

There's certainly nothing more nor less offensive about my blanked 'tar than this one.

I received a message from Laurel and Manu. It looks like some kind of glitch. They asked me re upload the avatar and see what happens. So I recommend that those of you experiencing this try that.

Now I just have to find where that avatar photo is.

With series cover work. I found that all of mine disappeared (went white) and then most of them came back again (to me at least the decision criteria was opaque - some images were trashed permanently that were effectively of precisely the same nature as others that were resurrrected ). So I suspect it’s the same image purge and that ‘blameless’ avatars will return.

It depends which device I am on. On my computer I see everyone. On my laptop and phone my avatar is missing and a few others. Today is the first day that I've used my laptop or phone in a few days, so first time that I've noticed the issue.
