I was trying to explain Lit yesterday to a friend. It may only be a virtual world, but when it counts, there is such a sense of community. Lit is filled with some of the most compassionate, intelligent, and witty people I have had the pleasure to meet. And though I'm going to have to kick lavy's ass for putting my name in the title of this thread, I heartily second all of her other sentiments.

I have no idea what's going on in your life right now, but it sounds like it has been (and perhaps continues to be) a struggle. For whatever it's worth, you are liked, admired, respected, and genuinely accepted by a whole lot of people around here, myself definitely included. You are strong, and the strong survive.

I've also had recent occasion to be reminded just how many supportive, generous, and generally great people there are around here. Thanks for the reminder for us all.

you should be on that list your someone that truly makes someone that is new feel very welcome here ... you offer help to people even when your obviously having to deal with a lot of things yourself and you most definitely make this place feel like the community that KR1 doesnt get
