Note to you guys when you get in here!

Okay wow just had a totally awesome (well I think it’s awesome anyway) idea for the thread- The Power of Ancient Greece!

What if we were all given powers by different gods and ours power are relatives of the gods that gave them to us?

Say for instance my character has the power of fire given to her by Ares – the God of War, makes sense.

There are others like:

Aphrodite – Goddess of Love
- If you received her power (this would best be played by a female) you would have the power of seduction, lust but you would have to be careful because when you lose control of your power you incite men and women to obsession, they start killing each for you or they try to kill you or rape you etc.

Poseidon – God of the Sea
- If you received his power, you would have some kind of manipulation over water, to heat it, freeze it and generally manipulate it but losing control can cause things like people around you start to drown for no reason, they just spew water (they don’t have to drink anything) and they just die.

Artemis – Goddess of the hunt and wild animals
- If you receive her power, you have control over wild creatures; to see what they see and speak to them. If you lose control they grow frenzied and crazed, attacking humans for no reason and getting themselves killed – that one is a little sketchy but you can improve on it.

Athena – The Goddess of Wisdom
- AMC you already chose her so that one is up to you!

Hades – God of the Underworld
- This would ultimately give you some kind of power over injury but if your power get out of hand it would cause people to mass suicide around you or something to that effect.

Just remember that your powers can’t outstrip the God’s that gave them to you!

I'm trying to fix it and I just can't think at the moment I woke up today and my head's been in a fog X_x So I'm sorry everyone.

Oh and I'm thinking we might as well go all out with the mythology as we're already doing Gods anyway so I'm gonna introduce mythological creatures as we go along, wherever they'll fit in anyway...make it more interesting!
Also your character needs to have some connection with their god; for instance to be picked by Poseidon, your character could live on the coast and be a strong swimmer or something, she'd have to spend alot of time in the ocean.
My character's connection to Ares will be her ability with a bow and her leadership skills.
Everybody else get the point of having a connection with their God?

I've tied in mine with with Aegis and her being born with full armor.
The other tie in I have in mind is being the group strategist if it works out ^^
So yeah..

Well besides the powers being an ultimate connection to thier god, I get it, something that hints at where thier loyalty lies. Though our characters are going to have to fight over the archery - given as Artemis IS the goddess of the hunt xD

Yeah well I was just thinking that the Gods should have a reason for picking them. We need a connection short of their powers!

I know! I reckon someone should get in trouble, and use thier powers, and everyone else joins in the fray when they realise who eachother is. Besides Ava, who still convinces everyone she's a dog untill later xD Then they get thrown out - and Tadaaa the story starts!

Well I was thinking that we all have some kind of permanant tattoo that's like a birthmark but obviously not.

But I wanna get it right so I'm gonna look up the symbols of the Gods!

Remember that your symbol must be hidden on your character's body somewhere that's not in plain sight all the time but don't go too dirty cause they're gonna end up showing each other!

Okay everyone gets to pick their symbol out of these:
Ares | spear
Artemis | bow, deer
Athena | aegis, owl, olive tree
Poseidon | trident, horse, bull
Aphrodite | sceptre, myrtle, dove
Apollo | bow, lyre, laurel
Hades | helmet, metals, jewels
