The voters in Michigan enshrined the right to abortion in the state constitution last November. Conservatives had a number of laws still on the books that made obtaining abortion difficult (can't advertise abortions, 24 hour wait, no telemedicine, cannot be paid via insurance, etc).

Led by Democrats, the state legislature systematically repealed the three major "nuisance" laws restricting abortion in Michigan. Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer signed these bills into law yesterday.

Michigan is now one of the few places in America where third-trimester abortions can be done in the event of a non-viable fetus.

Democrats are reclaiming America one state at a time.

Insurance should pay for procedures you need.

Imagine that! Michigan State legislators deciding what’s best for Michigan instead of 9 federal judges or elected representatives from 49 other states.

this, can't advertise abortions, 24 hour wait, no telemedicine, cannot be paid via insurance, doesnt seem difficult. More like a cooling off period, and sensible.

The laws aren't based in medicine. They are based in punitive measures aimed to stop abortion at any cost. Which is a fucking dumbass way to approach legislation for abortion.

Lack of insurance coverage for a medical procedure has a way of stopping a lot of medical procedures.

The rest are dumbass attempts to treat it punitively.

The Ninth and Tenth Amendments work for the states as the founders intended. Rob and Adrina can put on clean underwear now.
