When Meghan married Harry, most of us were delighted and we adored her mother. Her father? Not so much and Meghan has been showing that's she's inherited a lot from her father.

She didn't know what a Royal lifestyle would be? Bullshit. The amount of work each one of the Royals, major and minor, does in each year is a matter of public record.

It is boring opening new buildings and dedicating new departments etc, The royal has to talk to many boring people for whom that encounter is possibly the most memorable of their lives, but for the royal, it is just one more duty.

Harry and Meghan's duties would be less than that for Prince Charles or Edward because Harry is 'the spare' not the heir. Even Princess Anne would have more engagements in a year. If Meghan didn't know what was expected of her, she is either lying or stupid.

Bullshit again. I said NOTHING about colour. That is a lie by others. I was making a humorous post to discuss how to prevent people from paying thousands of pounds to people smugglers to risk their lives to cross the channel.

The majority of people crossing that way are WHITE - and I didn't mention colour at all.

She probably got less abuse than many premier league footballers and should have had staff to deflect or censor it before she saw it.

When she married, she had the support of the vast majority of UK people, and as I said above, we liked her mother. A minority might object but most saw Meghan as 'a good thing' - then. But since then? She doesn't want publicity but she appears on Oprah for two hours? Jeez!

Seriously? How many indigenous women disappeared in the last five years? How often are these cases solved? Indigenous people are about 5%of the general population but more than 30% of the prison population.

That's pretty shocking.

It is also true in the UK that black men are a greater proportion of the prison population than the percentage of blacks in the whole population.

That is a worry, but also a worry is that so many black men see crime as the only way to progress.

Is there bias in the sentencing policy? The courts try to avoid it, but if a defendant has a long history of petty crime, and is black, they are more likely to go to jail than a white person with less of a record.

Harry was the 'spare'. The Queen is well aware, from her father, that the spare can become the heir. Her mother, the Queen Mother, never forgave Wallis Simpson for forcing George VI to become King. George was a shy man with a painful stammer but he considered it his duty to the best for the UK and then Empire, as he could.

Harry would be unlikely to become the heir, but he might have been needed as Prince Regent until a nephew came of age.

But unlike the rest of the wider Royal family, he was never particularly happy with the public duties that came with his role. He is also not the brightest spark in the Royal family, not than any of them is. But the others, especially The Queen, see their duty to the people of the UK, and the Commonwealth, as paramount, far beyond any personal inconvenience.

Harry didn't see it like that, but Meghan has made his position as a Royal Prince untenable. You cannot be a royal without serving the country. Without that service, a Royal has no purpose.
