Meeting an online lover

hey guys...this should be a better topic than my last one!

im curious, has anyone met, in person, someone that they have an online relationship with? and how did it go? were the expectations too high? how was it afterwards? did the relationship change?

a little background on me: i have a relationship with a man i met online, we have been together for almost a year. We have not met yet...sometimes i think it would be great and other times, im scared as hell!

In my experience, the responses to your questions will vary from person to person. The quality of the r/l relationship vs. the on line relationship relies heavily on how honest the two on line lovers have been with one another.

Do the relationships change? A bit. After all, your on line relationship is generally time spent in which your focus is almost completely on one another. In R/L, that can't always be the case and is cause for some adjustment.

It can work Just like any relationship, growth and change are a must.

I've met 2 online lovers and married the last of the two.
Be sure it's what you want. Make sure you have a back-up plan if things don't seem to be working out. Talk a lot about different scenarios that can occur if you do meet. And, be careful.

Back to the question at hand...
I've had some cosmic connections with a few very special people I've never actually seen smile in person; but I wouldn’t trade these cyber experiences for anything.

What I find extraordinary is how fast it all can happen. People can meet..fall in love..cyber wildly.. go through a huge breakup...all in the course of one week.

The immediate tap into each other's minds..can seem more intimate than a physical relationship with a casual fling you barely know.

And I believe a lot of young people's first meaningful relationship will happen through these copper wires.
