The Queen Mother,
Kept England together,
During the Blitz,
During the war,

The Queen Mother,
Always remembered,
For "Hym, Hym, Hym"
And so much more.

unfortunately on the day princess diana died so did mother teressa

How much press time did she have FUCK ALL

That lady had more goodwill, courage, determination, caringness towards the sick and frail and unfortunates than those two members of royalty ever had

Might have had more money but what did the queen mother do with hers. Get into debt on horses, underpay staff, buy expensive things on the peoples tax. Apauling

Sorry to take away the spirit of this thread but i havent heard anyone say this on the news or in the papers and i feel someone should

sorry to offend anyone

It is sad. Just another step towards the loss of royalty in the world. She was an amazing representative of what the royal family should be in times of war and in peace. A true leader.

wiz, I agree the passing of Mother Teressa was sorely underpublicized, but your take on these particular royals is far off the mark, IN MY OPINION. Given the bounds of being a member of the royal family and the very specific duties and expectations upon them I think both these women did an exemplary job of bringing kindness and compassion to the world. In fact they were both known for that.

Will there ever be someone like Mother Teressa again? We can only hope. But I know for sure if there were more people like Princess Di and the Queen Mum the world would be a MUCH better place.

But there was no profit for the press in pulling the skeletons out of Mother Theresa's closet.
An exposee of her not so good side, wouldn't have sold a single extra newspaper.
The public are always hungry for any royal story though. The press are there to feed that interest, not be fair and impartial.

This is a bad thing?

And really, how much press would Mother Teresa have wanted? I seriously doubt she would be offended that her passing was observed quietly.
