I think it's silly to feel objectified when men are just looking.
Personally I like it when some show an interest.
If you've gone to the effort of dressing up and making yourself look as good as you can, you want people to notice or compliment you. That goes for men and women.

Went on ebay. Put in sexy-HOT outfit. Or any thing that may yield your desire. Find it. Then show her the outfit. Tell her your buying the outfit.Tell what and how your going to address her in the outfit. THEN BACK IT UP WITH ACTION!
