Marilyn Manson

Yeah... Don't care.

Back to the topic of you imagining me attacking men when I'm not even mentioning them! You can see that now I've pointed it out, which is why you're trying to change the subject. Not the first time you've projected that one, either. So what is really ailing you?

Wut? Talk about projecting! I didn’t say anything like that. Sober up!

Do you want to show me on the doll where the lady said you touched her?

Somebody sure wants to send a fan letter of support to his poor beleaguered rock hero badly, smells like. :D

This has all gone very metaphysical... or else I'm having a stroke

Agreed; sounds like Dolf is triggered by the topic.

For me, the issue is one of our legal rights.

The very idea that a former lover can make allegations well outside the Statute of Limitations and be given any credence by anyone... is simply backward.

Another glam/pop celerity shit bag who thought money and fame meant they get to do whatever they want???? Let me muster my best shocked face....

*grunts*

There it is....

On a related note that is NOT Manson specific...

Do you stop watching/listening/reading your favorite artists/performers whenever you find out they did scummy whatever???

At some point in my tweens (early 90's) I realized a disproportionately large number of artist (especially the good ones) were pretty fucked up people and that if I wanted to be able to enjoy art I would have to separate artist from their art on some levels. Disassociate if you will.

But I also know some people who do...when the Weinstein thing really blew up? I had a friend who tossed like 1/2 his movies out. Which while not how I reacted, I understand and respect his choice not to watch things produced by what he felt was evil incarnate.

Most GB chit chat goes over my head

Rachel has every right to bring a complaint. The legal aspect is not our decision, but if nothing else it promotes discussion. Abuse thrives in the shadows and pretending it doesn't happen or not investigating it, gives abusers the confidence to carry on or recruit the next victim. Good for her

I agree!

She should go get a lawyer and start a civil claim or file a criminal claim.

"in this specific case, a letter from California Senator Susan Rubio posted on Wood’s Instagram indicates that the FBI has formally been made aware of the accusations." It will be up to them to decide if there's a case worth investigating. I don't think someone of her worth is going to be looking for financial compensation - to think that is to entirely misunderstand what is going on. She isn't looking for money ( she's worth around $8million) , she's looking for the truth and resolution.

There's an interesting piece if anyone's minded to learn about abuse here

I’m saying she is not the only one to come forward:

ASHLEY WALTERS

“I continue to suffer from PTSD, and struggle with depression. I stayed in touch with quite a few people who went through their own traumas, under his control. As we all struggled, as survivors do, to get on with our lives, I’d keep hearing stories disturbingly similar to our own experiences. It became clear the abuse he’s caused; he continues to inflict on so many and I cannot stand by and let this happen to others. Brian Warner needs to be held accountable.”

SARAH MCNEILLY

“I have been afraid to bring any spotlight upon myself as to avoid winding up in his crosshairs again. As a result of the way he treated me, I suffer from mental health issues and PTSD that have affected my personal and professional relationships, self-worth and personal goals. I believe he gets off on ruining people’s lives. I stand in support of all that have and all will come forward. I want to see Brian held accountable for his evil.”

ASHLEY LINDSAY MORGAN

“I have night terrors, PTSD, anxiety, and mostly crippling OCD. I try to wash constantly to get him out or off of me…. I am coming forward so he will finally stop.”

GABRIELLA

“It has taken me five years to speak out and say that I was in an abusive relationship. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and still suffer from nightmares. I blocked out a lot of the memories, but the feelings remain and manifest in various ways. The reason I’m finally sharing this traumatic experience is for my healing and because I’m done being silent. I don’t believe it’s fair for someone to not be held accountable for their horrific actions. I’m not a victim. I’m a survivor.”

The positive is that victims everywhere will be secretly reading these reports and realise they are not crazy and not alone. Sadly a proportion will continue to make excuses for their abuser.

Now she’s saying they didnt have kinky sex, it was just straight up torture.

Assuming she left his house during their years together, it would be hard to see her as anything but a willing participant, don’t you think?

Exactly, but you weren't there, you know zero about victim/abuse situations and all you can do is provide barstool commentary. How about another tequila for the road?

Try replacing the words you added to my post with “ for the legal system” and let us have your thoughts.

Not having been inside a courtroom, I don't imagine is done from barstools. Sure it becomes a 'he said' 'she said' but happily we won't be the ones making the decisions. Maybe you have personal experience you can bring, but not so far, huh? We're just kicking the dirt and are unlikely to reach any conclusion except agreeing to disagree.

marilyn manson bores me, he's a cut-rate alice cooper and we've already done that. he did do a good cover of 'sweet dreams', though. if you're dumb enough to fuck him then shut the fuck up.
