I know I know... I've been slacking but I thought up a really good question last night! So here is today's cover charge...

What was the last sweet thing someone did for you? Like "melt your defenses, make your knees go a little weak, and an involuntary "awwwww" to escape your lips" sweet thing.

Mine? I got a video of someone singing to me. Okay lipsyncing to music but still. Someone sent me a song. And maybe that sounds silly and a little juvenile to get all melty over but I have never had anyone (without prompting) send me a song. Which is strange because if you know me, you know I love music. I am that person who puts on full concerts in my car.
So yeah... that was a big one that even now thinking about it, makes me smile.

Last summer, my wife asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday. It was a big round number birthday too I told her I did not want a party like she had done ten years ago. I just wanted a low-key day spent hanging out with the kids.

So, what she did was buy a plane ticket for my son to fly in from CA, where he lives now, so that all five kids could be there for my birthday. It was a total surprise when he walked in and I was in total shock. My other out-of-town kid was already here for a visit and it completed the family. Couldn't have been better.

OMG!! I love a good bloody Mary. To me it's more about the tomato juice. Not a fan of clamato juices but the best I've found is zing zang mix. It's takes way too long to mix my own. I like a beefier taste, spicy but not pallet burning. I infuse the vodka with beef jerky for a week. Makes a great bloody Mary. And fresh crispy celerythat snaps ties it up nicely. Are bloody Mary's a fetish? Cause I WANT ONE NOW!!!
