As a kid, I lived in Belgium. Traveled to Germany, Italy, France, England, Amsterdam, Holland...
As an adult I have only been back to England and Germany.

My great-uncle was aboard the St. Lo (CVE-63) when she was sunk by a Kamikaze attack. He jumped off from the starboard bow gun emplacement once the order to abandon ship was given.
