Meh, it could be worse.Real life sucks. We need to think of an alternative, doncha think?
Meh, it could be worse.
A LOT worse.
We both live in a wealthy, western democracy and not some shithole like Somalia.
Amen!
Wow. So the choice is the US or Somalia? Really? Nothing in between?![]()
Plenty of choices in between, but choosing extremes serves to highlight a point, neh?
Meh.. a sucky point! [laughs] I want to live in the land of make believe. Just for a little while. Please?
Oh!
Feel free to indulge yourself. Not like anyone is going to stop you anyway.
I like make believe too.
A mental escape from the drudgery of earning a living.
Daily.
My last make believe trip was to Amasterdam with an old flame.
Ha!
When one thinks about it, most of the "real" world we live in is the result of the consensual hallucinations we label 'culture', 'politics', 'economy', 'religion', etc, etc.
Yes. Some years back.
Yah, sobriety can be a real hassle, yanno?Wow... you are feelin' awfully philosophical tonight. [laughs]
France, Germany, Cozumel, fla keys., California, east coast.
How about you? Any travels?
Yah, I'm 'special' like thatFunny...most people get philosophical when drunk not sober...
Military brat?As a kid, I lived in Belgium. Traveled to Germany, Italy, France, England, Amsterdam, Holland...
As an adult I have only been back to England and Germany.
Yah, I'm 'special' like that
Military brat?
Yep! By the time I was 13 and my dad retired, I had moved 7 or 8 times.
Interesting is one word for it. [laughs] I spent half my childhood military and half civilian. Huge culture shock, to say the least.
How about you? Any military in your background?
Okay, time to hit the road, hit a boozer and head home. See y'all in about an hour or so.

... by the way and welcome back on LIT
