Hey y'all!

Phew! Just got a chance to sit down and relax for a little bit. Have I ever told you guys how much I hate grocery shopping?

The worst is when I get weird looks from people at the checkout line. I can't help it. I have this quirk. I hate to just jumble everything up on the counter. I tend to separate the groceries. Frozen foods together, drinks together, produce together... you get the people. AND I am particular about the order. I put all my heavy items on first and then my soft squishy and/or breakable things at the end. Needless to say there is a lot of backing and forthing while I put things up on the conveyor belt thingie.

Today I thought I was safe as Hubby had opted to stay at home. Normally he likes to switch the stuff around while I am not looking. But sadly, no. Turns out the man behind me thought it was quite humorous. I happened to meet his eyes while I was organizing everything and I swear he was laughing at me!

Please tell me I am not that odd. Or at the very least, how about for tonight's cover you share one of your little quirks or odd habits? It would certainly make me feel better.

Odd I thought that was how you were supposed to put your items on the conveyer belt. I always do as well.
Hmm quirks I'm sure I have a lot of them but it's hard to recognise them in yourself. I don't have any bad ones like Sheldon's must knock Three times, but I do have the one of locking the door and the checking it too make sure it is locked even though I just locked it.

I do the same when grocery shopping. But any attempt on my part to validate you as 'not odd' for this quirk would be useless, considering the source of said validation.
In addition, I also insist on bagging my own groceries. For one thing, I can usually do it faster. For another, I know my squishables won't be squished and my crushables won't be crushed. I never say this, of course. What I tell the bagger is that I do it myself so if anything is damaged when I get home I know it's nobody's fault but mine.

Oh MsBlu, you're not crazy at all. I do the same thing. Maybe not to the extent but I do place things in groups.

I have several quirks and habits ...

My food can not touch, well a little bit but I wont pile food on other food. I have to get into the bed from the left side. No matter what.

Another thing is, if I'm going to drink a glass of milk. I have to place it in the freezer for about 5 mins or so. The only time I don't put it in the freezer is for a bowl of cereal ...

I am feeling much better about myself now.

Especially considering I do the same thing when I drink milk. It must be in a glass and sit in the freezer until frosted. I can't stand room temperature milk. It even smells bad to me.

There's one girl who's 16, looks 12, and actually threw a 4lb chuck roast into the same bag as my eggs and said " Oopsie" and giggled. Broke 4 of them. Then got pissed when I made her call someone to get me a fresh dozen. But I digress. Yes, I sort and wouldn't do it any other way so you're not odd Miss Blu, or maybe we both are.....

My little quirk is every morning before I leave the house I get 4 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 2 pennies to put in my pocket to start the day. Been doin' it forever.
