Mama Blu's

I don't have a lot of possessions. I don't like them...it's just clutter, if you ask me. But I do have a few things I hold onto, and yes...they are monetarily worthless for the most part. :)

I keep telling you, you can have my stuff! Come on.... why else do we have houses? To have a place to put all our STUFF!

Jesus! How do you explain me? I think I am...um... overfilling my tank.:eek:

Here too, every time I organize the basement, attick or garage the kids and wife cram more crap in there. I hope the 'hoarders' show doesn't find us.

{laughs] Is it wrong that I watch that show just to feel better about my own crap? I mean sure, my house is bad. But it isn't that bad.

There is a minimalist theory that says a person should pick a set number of things to own. 100 is a number I read. You have that number or things and if you want something new, you need to get rid of something.

Do kids and pets count toward that total? And is it for each person in the household or total? And what if you have a group of things in a container? Does the container count as one or do you have to count out each separate item?

I wold have to think that, for instance, a set of dinnerware would have to count as one thing. I didn't say that I subscribed to this theory :D

Crap! you have to count necessary things like dinnerware?! Ugh! [laughs]

What theory do you subscribe to?

The dumpster theory. If I don't need or haven't needed it in 5 years, it gets tossed. Unfortunately I am outnumbered and overruled on this and thus am worried about the hoarders thing.

Those are the greatest. I think my mom still has the one I made for her while in kindergarten.

So how is today going for ya, sugar? Need a drink? :rose::kiss:

My day was typical. Stayed up too late, woke up too early, ran around like a madwoman at work, spent the night in my "cave."

Had a few smiles though, reading through your old thread. Can you believe it's been 10 months since he and I started talking? And I have you and Joy to thank for that. So, thank you both ladies. Without him in my life, I'd have very likely gone insane.

I thought it was supposed to be if you didn't use it within the past year it was supposed to go.

And to think, if we had known right away that he was indeed a 'he'.... [laughs]

I knew, you two just didn't believe me.

I am not sure what the topic is, but who cares?

There is a cover charge? I am not accustomed to such fancy places.

True. It's worth it, but it still doesn't stop the ache when we're apart.

Have you heard of the Bond thingie (not sure if that is the correct name or not)? It's a device that someone is making that you wear on a bracelet and connect with someone else. Every time they touch their device, you feel a vibration on yours. I wish I could remember the name.

Awww... you think we are fancy! How sweet. [laughs]

But here is the cover in case you missed it. ;)

Mornin' All!

Those are great movies for the holiday season! I love A Muppets Christmas Carol. What can I say I love The Muppets.

And you are a fine one to talk about sticky floors, Joy! It's all your fault. not sure how but damn sure it is! :p

So what to ask for today... hmmm.... oh oh oh!

So every year I go and I try to find an ornament for the year. It doesn't have to be expensive but just something that sums up the past year. I will admit my favorite ornament is a plastic Santa that Hubby and I got the first year we were married. [laughs] We were so damn poor we couldn't afford ornaments. Hell, we could barely afford the tree. A local store was giving away a free ornament with purchase. It is cheap plastic and the color is wearing thin from the numerous Christmases, but to me it symbolizes that first year together and shows how far we have come. So even though I have since bought and received beautiful, expensive ornaments for my tree over the years, that little plastic drugstore Santa will always be my favorite.

How about you? Do you have a favorite ornament? Care to tell us why it is so special to you?

Blu

Eh, I'll settle for the t-shirt of his that I snuggle with at night. And skype.

And with that, I'm going to snuggle in. Night Blu!
