Well you have probably heard this line before but........I really am posting for a friend *chuckles*

I was recently approached by a friend who knows me as a submissive, they had all manner of curious questions about submission or at least my view on things which I was happy to share but then the topic of male submission and in particular heterosexual male submission came up and I had to confess no real knowledge or even someone I could point him towards to talk to.

he was struggling with desire verse perception or more stereo types, he is very much interested in females only and is a masculine man, who just happens to think a woman using him for her pleasure is insanely hot...however it seems the only information he has found or culture he has been exposed to has the very stereo typical bisexual or softer (please do not think i mean that in a disrespectful way) male submissive edge to it, and even myself doing a few searches have not found what I would consider good sources of information.

What I would like to know is does anyone have any good reference links they would be willing to share or even suggested books for reading, or just comments in general that I can share that may help answer his questions about the male submissive culture?

Yes, in large part, what passes for male submission is a melting pot of topping from the bottom fetish bullshit.

(I had a whole rant written about it, but I deleted it. You're welcome. ;))

Luckily for your friend, there are people who aren't into that shit. Unluckily for him, they can be hard to find.

There isn't much out there. But there is, now a teensy mit morethanthere was.

A friend of a friend wrote this one; How To Capture A mistress
http://astore.amazon.com/wwwpowerexcha-20 is a list of books recommended by the same man.

Here's a wonderful Fdom blogger; http://delvingintodeviance.com/

Maymay's imageblog; http://malesubmissionart.com/ includes gay and straight images.

I often write little rants here, about the difference between submitting and bottoming, dominating and topping. A hetero man interested in serving a mistress -- truly serving her not his own fantasies should, IMO, explore the concept of service topping. I've found a couple of those rants;

And here is a great book explaining one set of skills that a service top could have; http://rubelpresents.com/publications/squirms-screams-and-squirts/ :devil:

Thank you so much for the replies so far, I will be sure to go through the links and suggestions and hand them on to him. Thank you again.

Get out and talk to lifestyle real-world women doing this. If he insists she look like a prodomme a prodomme he shall get and she might not "get it" but might, and it will cost money.

However, do know there are many many lifestyle women who lament the lack of man-smelling man-tasting guys who do NOT want their dirty panties to be the focal point of every morning or be "forced to suck cock" or whatever.

Do not read any fiction. Do not look at commercial sites. Try fetlife or real life.

Maymay and bitchyjones blog if it's still up are good places to find out what's wrong with the picture of hetero FDom but they're kind of melodramatic about the scope of the problem, IMO, and offer no real solutions. I think most people I know who are actually hooked up fall outside the horrible hegemonies you find online, because they're online

There's a high demand for this kinda guy, IRL. Go out, shake some hands, don't say you're submissive until it's relevant is one way to play it, or tell everyone you are and completely mess up their expectations of "a male submissive".
