Ok, so I'm having entirely too much fun on this make a snowlfake site, but I didn't want to totally hijack the other thread. (For those of you who aren't visiting snowy's christmas thread, the site is http://snowflakes.lookandfeel.com .)

Anyway, I thought it'd be fun for those of us hwo're spending too much time there, anyway, to share our snowflakes. Here's my most recent:

Hence why I didn't save the first ten or so snowflakes I made. They looked like crap. I've been fiddling with this game most of the evening.

I agree! Those scissors pissed me off too. I am snowflake challenged.

You know you can use the undo button to fix that, right ? You see/noticed the option?

Here's another i made (edited to use as a tiled wallpaper-- made it slightly 3D for added depth, & changed colors and file format, cuz i hate wallpapers that eat up resources).

Hey guys, this site is a LOT better/easer...no goofy scissors, and you can cut inside the flake not just from the edges, and can preview as you cut.

I like both. It's nearly impossible to cut a straight line with this one, but I can do a circle. lol I wish they'd combine - then it'd be the perfect site.

Yeah but you have to click it and then go back and thats annoying lol. The other site you can see as you cut.

Yeah, me too. I guess that you use the site depending on what you are wanting to make.

No doubt it's a kewl one, and i agree that they'd both be a lot better if we could mix and match the features. They both have good points as well as bad/annoying.

i like the preview as you cut, and the drop and drag technique. This one works a bit differently and the one feature that annoys me: It won't allow for cutting the outter edge completely away.... like to make it round, or give it a scalloped edge.

hmm ... i'd like the names of both people who programed them... i'd email them and suggest they grab the best of both flake makers and combine to make a perfected program.

i took one that i especially like, and made it into a tiled wallpaper. Suits me well, i don't like my wallpaper too busy most times .... bright/busy wallpapers make my eyes hurt and gives me migraines.


Edited to add: i made the last image today, as well. Figured some here may enjoy it. It's not a snowflake ... but it's a Christmas graphic, animated.

Not safe for viewing with kids looking over your shoulder ...

I still don't understand the stupid sissors. I can't see how anybody can do such intricate cuts with them. They cover up what you're actually trying to cut. Well, anyway...here's mine. Not what I wanted, but it's what I got. If I could just figure out the sissors. they have a mind of their own.


Lit had to have the damn thing so small, it sucks even worse.
