LW Has Turned Into a Misogynist Wasteland

I believe we should have an authors challenge wherein we attempt to craft a literary and polished work which fits the category but which we know will bomb. Perhaps a new anagram: the BT. (Back together.) That would scorch some LW sharks.
Yeah, already did that. Wait, you mean do it *on purpose*? Oh, wait....

I sort of already did that with LW. In story 1, they reconcile. In story 2, they break up, and he starts dating her best friend. Story 3 went into EC (I had had enough of LW), and in that they wind up in a three-some together. (I suspect that would not have gone over well in LW). There is no Story 4, and there may never be one. It seems done for the moment.

Correction: story 3, in EC, elaborates on the affair with the friend. The three-some is in 4. Thus it's number 5 that was never written. It's not a series with numbers, just sequels, because I hadn't planned to go that far.

It's a great question, and my sense is no, they don't jack off to these stories. They just like them.

I come to Literotica to read erotica, so it's something of a mystery to me, but it is what it is. The interesting thing is how immense the appetite for these stories is.
I probably came to Lit to write erotica, not read it (which I haven't done much of). Some people may think I write too much dialogue and not enough banging, but that's my choice. So, I suspect some LW readers do get sexually arounsed by BTB stories. But, oddly, many do enjoy the RAAC stories anyway, although they claim otherwise. (The "excited disgust" theory I've mentioned.)

It's not arousal they are looking for there, but resentment, I'd call it. It's like how people will read political opinions they disagree with so that can work up a snit about them. I wouldn't underestimate how powerful that feeling can be.

Asking this as plainly as I can:

Do people jack off to BTB, or do they just like reading them? Are guys busting during the courtroom scenes? I understand it must be “satisfying” but there are boners involved? If so, is the boner from the infidelity (that the narrative then corrects) or is the boner from the epic takedown? I gotta understand. I think everyone on this forum is a writer and friend-maker and honestly it’s just porn to me so I’m asking outright.
In my opinion no.
From the feedback i get from my BTB stories and from the RAAC ones too most of the guys who read the LW stories are looking for the payoff - the BTB, the payback. I get the impression that at some point in many of their lives they have been cheated on and want to read stories where men get revenge on cheating wives. They want them to suffer. Perhaps to provide some closure to an unsatisfied need in themselves. Perhaps they wish that they'd had the ability, or facility to get the revenge on whoever it was that cheated on them that they want to read in the stories.
They are not jacking off to them, but they are gaining some satisfaction in seeing an unfaithful wife punished the way they would have liked to punish their unfaithful wives.
That is my opinion for what it's worth.

Although I agree with most of your points I dont think that alot of the readers got cheated on. There are quite alot of people who find the subject fascinating and read stories about adultery because they never had to deal with it and the emotional world it creates.

If I take myself for example I enjoy a good BTB story. And with 'good' I dont mean the ones who are solely a checklist in how the most 'punishment' can be inflicted. That gets old really fast and at some point I even find them revolting. I am totally against cheating but I also dont think that it justifies stealing, violence, killing and defamation. So no, I dont need a payoff in BTB stories. Just good writing, a decent exploration and reasonable actions.

The same with RAAC stories. The good ones are sensible ones. Where the infidelity was more of a fluke or the consequence of something already going wrong in the marriage/relationship.

And RAAC stories can achieve quite high scores too without obvious payoff. For example NoTalentHacks new story Fathers, Brothers, and Sons had everything in it to achieve a very low score, typical for these stories in LW, but still got over 4,5*. I attribute that to superb writing and good exploration. A couple years ago I read a very similar story but it lacked depth and the wife had absolutely no remorse. Her actions were planned and calculated and she did it out of love to her brother. To hell with the rest of the world. I couldnt comprehend how she and her husband reconciled. Still cant to this day.

But back to the point. Jacking off to stories in LW? No, never. Its like reading a romance story with almost no sex in it and jacking off to it, who does that? There are atleast 4 categories wich usually dont have highly erotic stories. Really confused how the idea even came up.

The opionion in the forums seems to be that because this is an erotic story website, that every story has to be read as such - and therefore people are jacking off to it.

I got so much stick for my story the hitman, because i was accused of sexualizing violence, when other much more violent, and sexually violent stories exist on the site, but are in a 'non erotic category' that also seemed to be an oxymoron, they claimed that this is an erotic website therefore all stories are erotic, except the ones they decide are not.
I maintain that LW is a category that has just about evey other type of story in it, including non erotic, but that argument didnt fly.
Some quotes from the thread

The competition for “most extreme violence” heats up

My question is: did you intend the reader to get an erotic thrill from the murders? This is an erotic story site and murders are the focus of your story so I think it’s a legitimate question. Judging from the comments, some of the readers do seem to jack off to murder.

Putting this simply, when did hate and violence become a sexual kink?

Because that's what it is in the LW section.
My issue is I think it does take on a different meaning when something is posted in an erotic category and there are people getting sexual gratification from the violence.

So - it seems that people DO think that there are people jacking off to the LW stories.

Yeah, I'd like to point out that this has been posted today. The story of sadistic torture and rape of an unwilling cuckold by multiple people, that, outside the fantasy, would have caused the man to lose his life. I'm pretty sure this thread was five pages long within a few hours of that "Monster"-Story being posted. This new one doesn't seem to garner much interest anymore. I wonder why...

I'm seriously too lazy to do this for the whole of LW, but I just went over the stories that were published in LW during the past seven days.

37 Stories about Hotwifing, Swinging, and consensual cuckolding, where everyone is happy with it
7 Stories in which the wife cheats without husband's approval, but there are no consequences for her whatsoever after he finds out
6 Stories in which the wife cheats without husband's approval, but the worst that happens to her is a divorce after he finds out
6 Stories in which the husband is an unwilling/non-consenting cuckold to his femdom wife, or where the plot consists of actual torture of the male MCs
4 Stories in which the cheating wife gets a karmic BTB-ending after her husband finds out
1 Story in which the cheating wife gets a "mexican whorehouse" BTB-ending after her husband finds out
1 Story that was just a troll post to protest the misogynist wasteland LW has become.

Oh, and 5 Stories that I don't understand why they were posted in LW at all (no extramarital affairs)

I don't know... but based on the actual submissions, I'd say LW is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the authors on this site keep complaining about.

I've clicked on "Publish" for my latest misogynistic wasteland endeavor: "A Hard Lesson" ("A swinger couple's adventures can be humiliating."), so it should be out within the next few days.

This 9k word story has the swingers at a party, and the wife becomes outraged at her husband when she mistakes what she sees. She seeks revenge fucking trying to embarrass him, which backfires on her. Then the story goes on with how they reconcile.

I want to see how the BTB-lovers react to this one.

And of course, I'll expect my usual 1-bombing turd following me from the AH to start as soon as it's public. My last story took the Admins (on their own with no request from me) to remove over twenty 1's within the first three days to get it over 2.0 (it's now at a 3.5)

I expect the misogynist haters will also have a field day criticizing it with 1's, even though ALL women in this story have agency and everything they do or is done to them is consensual.

I'm curious how my current WIP will do in that regard. It's about a mature couple who early in their marriage decided to open it, due to frequent separations because of the husband's employment. They've recently moved to a new town and the husband still has his "work wife" so she is looking for her new boyfriend. A local carpenter who is working on their home seems to check all her boxes, now he has to see if it works for him.

Completely consensual, both partners committed to their marriage, with both getting a little bit on the side when the husband is traveling. I wonder how it will go.

Yeah, that image is probably correct.

I've got a story planned, although I haven't started it yet, that's a twist on the "wife has a date" story. Except it's told from the point of view of the suitor, a slightly younger man who has an open marriage, and who really thought everything was cool before he knocked on the door. The wife was his friend, he kind of knows the husband and likes him well enough, and he absolutely doesn't want to fuck up their marriage. But due to a failure of communication, the wife thought she had the go-ahead, whereas the husband thought they were just doing roleplay in the bedroom for the week before the date. And then it's basically the suitor and the suitor's wife trying to prevent his friend's marriage from imploding.

Oh, yeah, and someone is absolutely going to watch their wife get railed before the end of it. LW should love it!

Someone? Mysterious!

My latest story "A Hard Lesson" is now posted to LW, and as expected, my dedicated haters didn't disappoint. It has now RISEN to 2.0 with 28 votes!

It has all of the appropriate tags: Swinger, oral, blowjob, anal, revenge, rough sex, humiliation, wife sharing, slut wife, ... to attract (or warn) just about everyone.
