Hi

I have written a multiple part story which started as romance category but has since changed into more of an erotic coupling. It will go back to romance.
Commenters are bothered it is not reading as romance for that part.
Do I change it to reflect the content more accurately and if so, can I do this once published?
Thanks for the advice.

You can resubmit the story asking for a category change. It will probably take a while, but your score and comments won't be affected.

Or, you can ignore the one or two comments and leave the story where it is, knowing what's coming next. I'd leave it where it is.

There are many threads about the pros and cons of category shifting. I don't think it makes a great deal of difference, especially a year down the track, when the whole thing has been published. If the story catches a reader's attention, it's going to be read regardless of category shifts.

Learn from this and embrace the patience.

Finish a story before posting any part of it and you will maintain the control that prevents scenarios like this.
