Oh My Gawd!! *lol* Limmericks!! Thank you Jazey! I burst into delighted giggles as I read your light and stupid rhyme! At least, thank goodness, you didn't start it out with "There once was a boy from Nantucket. . . " ;)

*Is all too familiar with the slipping into the "what if's" from the past* I offer you my heartfelt sympathies and empathy. Been there... done that... know it well... and, for the record, No! I don't have the t-shirt! I don't want the t-shirt from this one thanks... {{{{Jazey}}}}.

Alone

Why do I feel like I'm all alone
Why do I feel that there's no one to hold
Abandoned...
Neglected...
Un-Loved...
Un-Wanted...
Un-Needed...
What Happened...
Where did you go...
Why have you left me all alone?????

Good morning Spirit! Quite the lovely piece, this is. Thank you for sharing. The lonliness abounds... and I feel the hollowness and emptiness invoked by your words.

Very well done!

Well honey, if it was ANYTHING like mine, I don't want the t-shirt either...*sighs*...I'd rather have a few cold ones and try to forget about it...lol..but I've tried THAT too...didn't work. I hope yours is over, and you're recovered...*tight hugs*

However

Too many times, I thought I could make it on my own.
However, I was wrong.

Without someone there, there would be no criticism.
However, there was no love either.

So many times I laughed with others.
However, they were laughing at me.

The days go by and I still live life.
However, my soul is dead.

I may live forever or die alone.
However shall it be?

one of my newest poems

Butterflies in the Garden

In the garden of blossoming flowers,
Beneath the Topaz sky Ivory fluffy clouds,
They flutter among the vibrant blooms,
Or they just simply sail by,
Enhancing pleasant hours.
~
Their wings are like an artist’s messy palette,
Of an exquisite motif,
And held in perfect symmetry,
The patterns of perfect designs.
~
Filigrees of delicate webs,
Forming frames of incredible cloth,
Which covers their wings like a canvas,
That keeps these fragile creatures aloft.
~
Incandescent colors sparkling with a lustrous iridescence,
On the backs of these elegant insects,
As we celebrate their brief existence,
In the garden on these beautiful summer days.

sensual memories

My darling’s naked flesh sleeps with dreams, between satin sheets
You watch me with adoring blue eyes, inside you feel sated
By the window the moon-light shines on your silky skin
As your cascading long blonde hair softly flows, as does our love within

Enticed by tender sensuous memories, still fresh within your mind
Your fiery passion becomes aware, of arousal's silhouette refined
Casts against a wall of white, you lean slightly and licks your lips,
As the taste of my lips unfolds, with traces from my kiss,

Your thoughts begin to betray, as you turn towards the night
Gazing out the window, at the stars and moon so bright
You trace your painted nails, slowly over your alabaster breasts
Reminiscing of our sensuous play.

There within the silence, as the wind howls for lovers,
Silently You breathe me in, my manly scent upon the sheets,
You awake from missing, my warmth and nakedness,
and with an aching need, to feel my soft caress.

Your footsteps on the floor, brings to life your dreamy eyes,
Still you gaze into the night, while your breath comes with a sighs,
You sense my very nearness, my quiet love that holds you tight,
Again together our bodies cuddle, with each in the moonlight,

My arms snugly wrapped around you, my hands upon your taut firm breasts,
which takes you far away with dreams and desire, with a smile your face,
We snuggle in the misty moon-light, resisting arousal's surge,
As the night folds her velvet arms, around us with a sensual touch.

Wyld! This is lovely... and yet sad at the same time. Your words echo that which I feel/am feeling inside... and am having such difficulty expressing.

I love this line. . .
"I may live forever or die alone."

What it signifies in its simplicity. It so says it all. Thank you for sharing it with us. :rose:

Thank you for such encouraging words, Victoria....I actually wrote that years ago in high school......ahhhh, how I miss those years. ;)

His Eyes

The dusty sprinkle of blue sparkles as he speaks,
The lines around his eyes are softened by his smiles.
The wisdom in them shadows the harshness of reality,
And the pride is not of arrogance, but is well deserved.

He has lived a good life, living morally and in sacrifice,
His enemy has caught up with him as it will with us all.
Death has wiped the sparkle from his once alive eyes,
But his memory lives in vivid color, just as his eyes once did.

I wrote this after my grandfather passed last summer.....I tend to just write about the little things that stick with me.

It has been said, by someone long ago, that "The eyes are the window to the soul." Or was it something akin to, "To look thru ones eyes, you are allowed to see their soul."

As I read the words, dedicated to your Grandfather, they awoke in me... visions and images of my Father's eyes. Thank you for awakening them. :rose:
