According to Wikipedia, these are the punishments meted out for each of the seven deadly sins.

Lust: Smothered in brimstone and fire
Gluttony: Force-fed rats, toads and snakes
Greed: Boiled in oil
Sloth: Thrown into a snake pit
Wrath: Dismembered alive
Envy: Put in freezing water
Pride: Broken on the wheel

What? I can only have one as a favourite??

We're on Lit bg....everyone is voting for Lust...though personally I don't think it's a sin. Would much prefer to relish it.

My other favs are gluttony...hey I like my food...and sloth....there is a wonderfully experienced procrastinator within me While I"m capable of the others, they don't display themselves very often. *waiting for the fire and brimstones and snakes*

I know, I know. I thought of that after I posted. Of course everyone's saying Lust. Duh.

But then I wondered...We can't have our minds on sex 24 hours a day, can we?

Alright, after Lust, I have the most trouble with gluttony. Not necessarily for food, but I am all about immediate gratification. In large quantities.

i've got pretty much all of them covered, BG. i don't think i have a favorite and i don't believe any of them really give me any trouble ('cause i won't allow it... hehe).

when ya really get down to it, i'm one sinful mother fucker i guess.

of course, i tend to look at it a little differently. the sins are defined by the bible (i'm an atheist) and they were largely created as a motivator by governments and those controlling social behavior. in other words, by suggesting that God wishes people to behave in a certain way, they were able to help control a potentially unruly population. i'm not discounting the bible as a legitimate text, nor am i suggesting that the sins are "good." i just choose to take them in the context in which they were devised. that context, for me, was mostly a tool for manipulation.

Oh I'd actually say Gluttony is my favorite, though it's a toss up as to which gives me more trouble between Gluttony and Lust.

For the favorite it's definitely a toss up between lust and gluttony, which is why i try to combine sex and chocolate at every available opportunity. Yikes! Who knows where i'm going to get my rats, toads, and snakes stuffed!

As for the troublesome one--another toss up between sloth and wrath. Luckily I'm usually too lazy to perpetuate my wrath on deserving individuals, so probably more so the sloth.

Well, there is this occasional bout of lust but I usually take care of that by thinking about wild sex for a few minutes and then it goes away.

It's a toss up between Lust and Sloth for my favorite.

I'd say Gluttony, Sloth and Lust all give me equally much trouble.

I suppose there's hope that the reptiles and fire/brimestone would cancel each other out?
