Lubin' it up...

Just a quick question that I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to offhand. I just bought some Durex Play Tingling lubricant and got the best handjob of my life. Neither here nor there. My question is: the lubricant doesn't specifically say that it can or can't be used vaginally. I know that sometimes they have sugars in them which are very bad for vaginas. This lubricant is flavored, but I think it upset my stomach, and I'm very sensitive to artificial sweeteners. I heard once that some companies use artificial sweeteners for flavored lubes because they're not harmful to vaginas.
The lube doesn't say either way. Before I go through the hassle of asking a doctor or getting in contact with Durex, I was wondering if any of you have used the same kind and, if so, is it okay to use it on my penis intending for insertion?

WOW! I had never even considered that a flavored lube might not be safe to use vaginally. Of course I've also never used a flavored lube, but still. I have no idea, but I'm very interested to find out the answer.

OK, i googled up the brand name you gave and came up w/ nothing but sales hits. however, i did find that the manufacturer does have a site and i'm sure they're the best people to ask.

Assuming it's the same Durex that makes condoms, I'd be amazed if they produced lube that wasn't safe for vaginal use. Normally these things have "not for internal use" clearly put on them somewhere if they aren't.

That said, this might be the company that does a line of condoms with a local anaesthetic in them to supposedly help you keep going, in my case it numbs everything and the little chap goes to sleep much to the annoyance of all concerned.

And just when I thought

I wouldn't learn anything I did. I have never heard of the whole sugar thing. Guess I'm not living on the wild side with this flavor stuff. Might have to explore that

Hmmmm yes.... women who are sensitive to yeast infections should never use anything containing sugar anywhere near their vagina... Most of the time they would be on a low sugar diet anyway already. Luckily I have not experienced that myself but I know someone and the infection is a drag and VERY hard to get rid of.

I agree that if it's made by Durex I would consider it to be safe down there also... ;)

Oh wow! Hey look at me! This 500th post turned me into a Literotica Guru.. What do you know?! :D

OK, I tried to wrap my mind around that one over coffee this morning. No matter how hard I try, it just doesn't make sense....

peace,
