Would say you are a simple person by nature? A person that when others meet you, they get the real you, just pure you at all times. If I look at those people that I've met in life, that I have had a natural affinity to right off the bat, I'd have to say they were individuals of this caliber. When do you let someone past that initial barrier? When do you trust someone enough to let that happen? I suppose each situation is different, but probably one thing we all practice, is trust by association. If we meet someone and that someone is a friend of another friend or a relative, we automatically give them the benefit of doubt. For all we know, they could be an serial killer, but we feel an afiinity to them or at least I do. Of course if they start carrying a bloody axe around with them, my opinion changes in a hurry.

Familiarity is the key I guess. You ever meet someone and feel like you've known them your whole life? It's as though they complete you in some way. How can you resist not liking someone such as that?

So let's turn this around now. What about people you have nothing in common with. People whose ideals and beliefs are nothing like your own. How do you deal with them? I'd like to believe that we are all somehow connected. We all had to come from somewhere right? Did all these pools of life spring up around the primal earth and human essence crawled out and evolved? Or did we all come from one source? I don't know. If there was evidence we all came for one source, that we were all related to one another, what then? Would it make any difference?

we are all the same
broken down into fundamental particle form, a 150 lb man is only 3 lbs of quark...that is his whole composition
put another pile beside that and you cannot distinguish between the 2
all quark are identical
we were all that at one time, then we fused to become hydrogen and helium stars
...and so on
and we all return to this
our matter is exactly the same
the difference is arrangement of form
and the soul
we are light, we are energy
we are all the same

If everything you ever I wanted fell right in your lap, would you know what to do with it? Would you find someway to fuck it up?

It seems like people are never happy unless they have some kind of "crusade" or crisis going on in their life. I see people say that they want this or that, yet they always wind right back up in the same place, in the same situation over and over again. Well, what if you finally found excatly what you were looking for? Don't just spend all your time searching for it. Spend some time figuring out what you'll do if it happnes. Figure out how you won't turn it into the same old shit you've always known. It goes back to what I said. We like what is comfortable, what is famliar.

I want peace too and the rest of those things as well. But I also want to be challenged.

of course
complacency is boring
life should be exciting and challenging as well

So what does one do then, to keep the excitement and challenge in life? Do you simply move on to something new or is there some way of making what's familiar, seem new?

well...it's a bit of both i think
i think it's always a good idea to challenge yourself, find out what you can do, test your abilities, and attempt your dreams, how do you know what you can do otherwise, it would drive me nuts not to try and wish i had
but there are also ways to challenge the familiar... add to what you know ...challenge the unfamiliar in the familiar (if that makes sense, lol)
